Thanks for the replies so far. I'm buying a miner not only to mine coins but to support the blockchain for DGC as well so ROI is not the be all and end all for me. Plus you never know the coin I'm mining may be worth more one day as well justifying the miner cost now

Now I'm actually thinking about one of the Zeusminers from Zoomhash as I have a friend  who told me they can host it for me and doesn't care about the noise but the freight costs sucks from Zoomhash.

Should re-check your profitable calculator on scrypt coin before you buy more ASIC miners.

None of the ASIC on the market provide positive ROI.

Hey guys,

Any recommendations for quiet Scrypt miners? All of the 5+ MH/s miners seem noisy esp the Zeusminers. I'm keen to get mining but the Mrs would flip running a Zeusminer sounding like a vacuum cleaner 24/7 lol! I may be able to get away with one in the garage but even then it may still be a bit noisy.

Otherwise I was looking at the Gaw Fury miners which I'm told are pretty quiet. Would be nice to be able to get something with decent hash that was fairly quiet tho.

Cheers!

Most miners noise come from the fan, you can change the fan to some quieter one...
