Blockchain.info was down today for maintenance. Check their twitter posts for the time.

I'm looking at Blockchain and since are two months that i'm mining bitcoins, today is the first time i see a lack of blocks for two hours, has happened other times (someone has memory) ?
Or the new increas difficulty was too high ?
The difficulty normaly is adjusted to mantain a 10 minutes rate of discover, but 2 hours are a big hole !!!
