It's been common nowadays as some people with alts ask the same questions again and again twisting the question, which results into same answers by everyone and so, it doesn't matter whether you have quality or not, you just carry on and answer whatever you have on your mind, and you know why these alts do this???
Just to make themselves a few pennies on few posts, just like it's done here...

There are a lot of ways to drop a gambling habit. You could for example contact the customer support at the sportsbetting sites where you play most frequently and ask them to ban you from depositing again. You can also exclude all gambling sites domains from accessing via your favorite browser, there are some tips online on how to do that. But most importantly you must acknowledge your serious problem and try to make a difference in your life.

Need some advice on gambling.
I need quit gambling. It seems that i am getting more and more addicted to it. I want to stop before it gets worse. Can you guys give some advice on how to quit gambling.
Thanks.
I kinda had the same problem a few months ago, all I did was to find another hobby that could keep me engaged and busy. It really did the job for me. One of my friend started keeping his bitcoins in cold storage and gave away the private key to someone(whom he could trust a lot), that way he didn't have the access to his bitcoins and so could almost never gamble.

Quiting gambling is not that easy because you will get addicted to gamble and that is hard to stop with it, so you must have discipline to stop with gambling otherwise it will be not possible.
We can only tell you some tips but you have to do it all by yourself find some sports or hobbys that you like to do.

I suggest you find something else to do like a other hobby. Get something to do so you will think less about gambling. Talk with friends or family about your situation and I am sure they will help you.

don't make it harder than it is, because in fact quitting gambling is so much easier than you might think.
you can put all your funds in cold storage like paper wallet so you don't have access to them, or since you are on yobit website you can gamble with the free shitcoins they give you to satisfy your gambling habit.

Find the root of why you are so addicted with gambling. If it is to cure your boredom, then you need to find something you really excited to be your hobby instead of gambling. If it is the excitment that it gives you, try to go for adventures that give you the similar excitment like gathering with friends to watch a competition.

Without identifying the roots, a lot of solution may be invalid for you.

No one simply quits gambling. But if you want to, well, if you gamble on a daily basis, you can try to limit it to 3x a week, then once a week. Or you can try to find other things to do

Try to learn something new to you maybe can help a lot. Of course the new thing you have to learn is something that doesnt have relation with gambling stuff. As an example, try to learn to play musical instrument or try to make a program with learning programming language. If you focus on your new hobby, then soon or later you will forget your old activity(gambling in this case). Hope this will help you! good luck.

depends on your level of addiction, if still small then go find a new distraction activity like find new hobby, join community club, join sport club the most important is you have support from your friends and environment to stop you to gamble, if its high then consult with psychologist and maybe go to rehab center

Well actually nobody can help you, that battle you need to win alone. First find some other interesting thing, when ever you wish to gamble redirect you thoughts on that. I know that sounds easy when we talk, but that fight is inside of you. So everything we can do is to support you in that decision.
If you dont have with whom to talk, you can send me PM when wish for gambling appear in your mind.
With nice talk, we will try to make you forget about it, so fell free to send me PM and I will try to be here for you when desire for gambling become to strong.
Good luck!

Best advice is :

Open Google in whatever browser you like and type as search

How to stop gambling addiction

It will come up with a lot of useful information, I suggest you read the majority of it, but in the end it depends only on yourself and how well you have developed self control.

Some people here also has given a lot of advice like you say all depends on how self-control gambling I think it is important
all the way will be useless if you do not seriously want to get out of gambling so from now on your self control

Self Control is key. Whether it is gambling or to deal things in real life.
Having self control will help you in every step in life. So start to work on that. From there you will notice you have made a big step.

If you feel the urge to gamble, then quickly make yourself busy (even though you are not). It is quite simple to quit gambling, IMO. Well, for me, I'll make myself busy all the time, or I went to park to enjoy the nature or travel to new places. Well, if you find it tough to quit, you should seek help from the professional.

Well the idea is very suitable for gambling addicts kept busy will certainly make losing time to gamble try flurry for useful things
the important thing is always to shy away from gambling sites
in my opinion if a person really wants to play gambling games and it is entertaining for him then he shouldnt quit gambling his money in my opinion

though if a person wants to quit it i would recommend going to your doctor or psychologist in order to receive some help that would allow you to quit gambling easier

I did not know it was successful or not but should be tried
from now on you should reduce the amount of money while gambling do continuously so you find a normal point when gambling
Another way you should target money while gambling may only spend $ 50 each month according to the ability of your finances

If you are serious your best kick at this is to get more involved in life and sometimes another addiction with less effect can help get you off the gambling kick. Something that you really enjoy, seek that out for at least 30 days and see if that helps the urge to gamble go away. 30 days is just a goal, its long been disproven for kicking a habit but you achieve it and it gets easier to break from the gambling. Remember not to beat yourself up when you relapse,it will take some time and you will find what triggers you to gamble.

After I lost around 50 btc, I felt so bad and starting to do something different. Resuming my normal routine, BUT my mind always call me into play dice game and lost even more. I was gloomy and sad. Time will help you eventually. Start to talk to others and have some nice conversation.

Halfender, I decided to code and create monodice.com to fulfill my own addiction and satisfaction on dice gambling. It is playable for free since 2014. I tried to make it real and responsive as possible. I hope I can help you and others more who want to quit. Please share and spread the word. I really hope it help you as it helped me in every way.

You need to distance yourself from any situation where you would be triggered to gamble. Most people get addicted to the adrenaline rush or it fills a gap {eg. Boredom } You

will have to isolate the triggers and avoid them and also search for the answers to why you want to gamble and try to fill that gap with something more positive and

constructive. Let's say it is boredom... then you can rather start a new hobby or learn a new trade. If you want more help, visit this site :

http://www.helpguide.org/articles/addiction/gambling-addiction-and-problem-gambling.htm

This section is the best advice on that site. { For the people, who are too lazy to go through the whole thing }

" Self-help for gambling addiction and problem gambling

The biggest step to overcoming a gambling addiction is realizing that you have a problem. It takes tremendous strength and courage to own up to this, especially if you have lost a lot of money and strained or broken relationships along the way. But many others have been in your shoes and have been able to break the habit. You can to.

Seek help for underlying mood disorders. Depression, stress, substance abuse, or anxiety can both trigger gambling problems and be made worse by compulsive gambling. Even when gambling is no longer a part of your life, these problems will still remain, so it’s important to address them.
Learn to relieve unpleasant feelings in healthier ways. Do you gamble when you’re lonely or bored? Or after a stressful day at work or school? Gambling may be a way to self-soothe unpleasant emotions. But there are healthier and more effective ways of managing your moods, such as practicing relaxation techniques.
Strengthen your support network. It’s tough to battle any addiction without support, so reach out to friends and family. If your support network is limited, there are ways to  make new friends without relying on visiting casinos or gambling online. Try reaching out to colleagues at work, joining a sports team or book club, enrolling in an education class, or volunteering for a good cause.
Join a support group. Gamblers Anonymous, for example, is a twelve-step recovery program patterned after Alcoholics Anonymous. A key part of the program is finding a sponsor, a former gambler who has experience remaining free from addiction and can provide invaluable guidance and support.

Base on your seconds comment, I have to say, occupying yourself with something else, won't do the trick permanently and as soon as your unoccupied, you'll see yourself back in it. Taking Psychotherapy sessions would surely solve it permanently (speaking from a real life experience when I was young and didn't know how to stop it). It took me around two to three months of constant sessions to learn how to react when I'm at one of those scenarios again. I know it's going to be a paid solution, but it will be worth every bit of it.

it amazes me how some people find it hard to stop doing something so bad. just close the site and never come back.

Not so easy to quit gambling may be easy to say but hard to do especially for members Bitcointalk almost daily discussions related to gambling
I also difficult to quit gambling but I'm not a big gambler only gamble with some of the money I earned from this forum don't use money from real job

There are actual support groups who can help. Gambling is an addiction and as such, should also be taken seriously like narcotics addiction and alcohol.

I know about it I also have a friend of a gambler even gambling addicts recently he lost the gamble and said to me would stop gambling for a month
but he did not actually do it he gambled a few days later. I have not heard a powerful way to quit gambling.

I was once addicted to gambling.I was so much into gambling that I started dreaming of casinos in my food, casinos were all over my house. This scared me,I started getting anxious.I tried witchcraft ,flew down to the darkest Jungles of Africa to find best witches but couldn't get rid of them Casinos. Finally it hit me one day that I should use a simple life hack and make a thread on bitcointalk about it.I did.Guess what ? My addiction went away in less than an hour .The sad part was I lost my intelligence too.

it really isn't that hard to still enjoy gambling and not lose all your life over it because you got addicted to gambling!

you just have to set some rules for yourself and stick to those rules, for example force yourself yo only gamble with maximum of 0.5BTC each week. if you won, then good, withdraw and enjoy and if you lost stop and walk away.

The best way to quit gambling is sometimes, to lose a lot of money. If you lose a lot of money, you may experience for yourself what being a total idiot is, and you will may learn the lesson the harsh way but never gamble again, or gamble in very small amounts so it never constitutes a real risk and you are never facing money problems. I think we don't need to reach that point, but some people only learn the hard way.

A tough spot to be in and not quite sure what to advise as it's not something that I have been victim of yet.
Replacement I think is key, smoking is an addiction and I have quit a few times so obviously my method hasn't really worked but it did for the time I stopped, try to replace your gambling with something else, perhaps learn a language or replace it with a workout or something along those lines.

It is good that you are able to recognise the potential problem before it fully grips you that is a good start!  I wish you luck and hope that others will have some better advice then me to help you out.

The best think you can do it's to go to a psychologist and tell about your problem. I don't think we can help you.
My advice will be: don't gamble.
But i think that won't work :p

Good luck and don't give up due to gambling! Smiley
