Bitcoin Automated Vending Machine (AVM) operator QwikBit™, has confirmed a unique two-factor authentication (“2FA”) solution, specifically designed for its Lamassu Bitcoin AVM Network.

The software update, dubbed “Qwik-Screen™”, requires customers to register online at in advance of using any of the Qwikbit™ AVM’s in its network.

At the registration stage, users are provided with a unique four-digit pin code, which must be retained for using the AVMs.

To complete the registration process, users are required to upload ID documentation, and information. These details are verified by the Qwik-Screen back office system following which a customer’s user account will be activated. They must then link their account to their smartphone, using an online random number authentication tool. This random number is used alongside the pin number, to verify the user on the AVM.
