Wolf0,

 for that Nicehash optimized miner which algorithms did you optimize besides X11 and X13?

You mean which have I done? Or which ones are my code?

I've done Quark, Lyra2REv2... well, actually, all of them. The only binaries of mine they have are X algos though, IIRC.

X11 is just an example how unoptimized are kernels for 380 (or sgminer - i dont know)

Idea is to make 380 as good as 280x for every each algo.

you think that about 13MH per R9 380 is possible ?
Also other binaries for 380 will get similar performance to 280x ?

He probably won't do it because there are X11 ASICs out right now and pretty soon you won't be able to mine X11 with GPUs anymore.

For now just stick with ETH

No its not going to run any faster.

You need to learn programming or pay Wolf0 to optimize the X11 algorithm for your Tonga based cards.

X11 is only good for Pitcairn, Tahiti, and Hawaii.

i tried all of there kernels from wolf.
Still max is 3,3MH for R9 380

NVidea Maxwell cards (750 Ti, 950/960/up) are good at X11.
Used to be a TON better at it than AMD for a while, but recent miner software upgrades seems to have leveled the field quite a bit.

X11 is more like 11MH/s for 280X.

Your 380X is Tonga, there aren't any optimized kernels for that one. So unless you pay someone to optimise the kernel, its not worth X11 mining.

Unrelated to this thread, but you seem like you know what you're talking about Shocked If you don't mind, could you tell me what algorithm is best for mining with a GTX750Ti (I've been told Quark is good, but there aren't many coins)?  What about the GTX645?  Hardly found any information on that card when it comes to crypto-mining.

Thanks in advance - feel free to PM me if you would rather answer that way!

1. Try copying the bin-file for X11 made by Wolf0.
   E.g. if the original bin file is darkcoin-modTahitigw64l8ku0.bin, then copy it to  darkcoin-modTongagw64l8ku0.bin
   Then restart sgminer.
2. If that doesnt work you will have to ask Wolf0 politely if he is willing to generate a bin for the Tonga GPU.

Tahiti = 280X
Tonga= 380/380x

Hello.
I have planty of 380 AMD GPUs.
Ethereum mining is ok and it has 20MH/s per GPU.
But other alghoritms are pretty slow.
X11 - 3MH/s while 280 has 7MH/s.
Anybody know why is that ?
Is there some incompatibility between newer gpus and sgminer/cgminer ?

Many people have the same results, but hw can we fix it ? Smiley
