Cool, but in AUstralia you'd be paying more from carbon tax than from mining profits Tongue

AMD APP SDK stoped supporting Windows XP in version 2.6 and later

In order to mine in Win XP you will need an earlier sdk version.

FYI I did get this card to work.  It was a great training program for me.  Here is what I found for this GPU on my system

The ONLY Catalyst version I could get to work is the 10.7
The ONLY SDK I could get to work is 2.2
The miner I could get to work best is Phoenix 1.5 and 1.75
CGMiner only gets 20Mhs/s or so since Catalyst 10.7 does not have ADL support

The pool that works the best with this setup is Ozco, all other pools I tried give me about 20-25% rejects.

If you are:

1) Using windows
2) You do not have a monitor plugged into the video card you want to mine on

then the video card will be "disabled" and turned off.

You can either make a dummy plug or plug your monitor into it briefly.

-- round 2 --

Also make sure you have installed the latest ati/amd drivers.  The ones that "comes" with windows update doesn't have OpenCL included with it.

Should be Desktop Graphics -> Radeon HD Series -> All Radeon HD Series AGP -> Then select your OS version

Yes I'm running Windoze XP SP3.

And I do have a monitor plugged into it.

If I use the latest driver's it will blue screen and/or reboot.  The comments on amazon.com said to not use the latest AMD driver's with this card and to stick with the ones on the CD.  But I have tried several versions of drivers so far including the latest.

When I install the OpenCL GPU Caps viewer shows the CPU as the only available device.

I just installed a Radeon HD 4670 AGP in one of my systems.  I can't seem to get it to work as a GPU though.  When I run GPU Caps Viewer it identifies it as a ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series but it also says "Primary renderer - CF disabled (1 adapter(s)".  I can't get the miner to use it either.  Any ideas?

I do have a 600 Watt power supply too.

This is the first GPU that I have tried to use.  I have only had older video cards like the Nvidia FX5200 previously so this is new territory for me.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Sam
