If you watch the youtube video in my signature it describes it pretty accurately rather quickly (like 2 min's)
the basic jist of things is its layer 2 blockchain that tokenizes(Ledgerizes) acutal BTC for "off chain" transactions , the nodes control multisig wallets that handshake with other nodes on closing channels or sending tx (channels are the bridges of ln) users set fee's. TX's follow the path of least resistance (lowest fee's from a-z) sometimes this has been 0 fee for me.
you deposit BTC to a channel (called capacity) when you close said channel the ledgers update , the handshakes occur and a onchain TX will take place
......

Do i need to use a full bitcoin node to use ln network? Is there a specific client to use? What is the official site for ln network developement and documentation? Could you provide a link?

I could try your raffle but i have to figure out how to use this ln network safely....

Thanks
-imo its best to start off with a custodial service (Try Bitlum.io) its a chrome extension  gives you a btc and LN wallet . I've moved about 30-50$ of BTC with no problems on bitlums wallet.

If you want to ground up there's requirements like a node , a channel deposit ect. There's a service called ANCIQ's Eclair , Its kinda complicated but the next best option and if i recall correctly it's non custodial.

If you just want to flirt with it , Id say check out bitlum.io its opensource if that helps. go earn on sites like microlancer,io , there's an entire LN ecosystem developing pretty quick

I think you are trying to run a nonsense raffle and by these non-sense raffles, you are spamming raffle section.

I've never used LN so I have no idea about the actual fees involved. Good luck with your raffle OP, won't be participating for the obvious reason I just posted in regards to LN.

It's not an Alt its not a Fork and its not a Service.
it's in baby stages but its got great potential. It literally solves the scaling problem. Think LN for Gas and Groceries , On-Chain for Rent/Mortgage
Other people are better to explain it than I am but it is a challenging learn and Im obviously an endorser
if this does solve scaling issue's think about how many alt's will be effected. If an alt only aims to solve scaling it will be very likely they will fail after LN/Layer 2 is church-ed up. -imo

If you have any collectible item then you may sell by raffle but this running raffle should not be fulfilled.
You are just wasting time.

Just because you don't like their idea doesn't mean it's nonsense. They are trying to build off an idea they had, and good for them. The fact that you are here saying this shouldn't be fulfilled or that they are spamming the what I assume you mean to be "Games and Rounds" is fairly ridiculous. This section is perfectly suited to this kind of event.

They may be wasting time but it's their time to waste, you chose to waste your time here. Now if you'd like to provide useful information to them about how LN fees make this a losing propostition to everyone go for it. That would be constructive and helpful to them.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/raffle-15-spots-tickets-00016-btc-round-1-closed-refunded-5130098 your previous raffle. Have you succeeded?

Because this raffle all people will be the loser for their fee. Even the person who will win the raffle will be a loser.

I closed that raffle and refunded participants (yes BTC ate at fee's but fee's disclosed)
This time there is no house edge,
(No House Fee)
LN Fee's well do you even know what LN is? Its wonderful generally fee's are 1 satoshi.

The incentive is the BTC pot. No collectible needed. If it was collectible it would be in collectibles, hardware, etc.
I've lowered the ticket price substantially.
Admittedly that last raffle failed, So I took the feedback and made this one.
What I don't understand is why your here spreading mindless drivel about fee's and LN , I feel as if its a personal attack now considering this is a much better system and even labels a test, and there are infact no house fee's  (LN will be a few satoshi) literally a few. House None.
If you consider me "Spamming" (this is my Second Raffle post mind you!) Then consider this, Im just trying to have fun, and do something with the much spare time I have by doing something constructive and productive.
I get it your MO is busting scammer's , That's your productive value, and your personal entertainment.
I'll tell you this though your barking up the wrong tree here as I do not have ill intentions.
If anyone else has any feedback im happy to hear it , the next best thing ill do is secure a deposit for for pots on chain and off chain LN and BTC networks (a whopping $1.72 to secure 0.00032 BTC) with an escrow person that will even worry with it otherwise tickets are BTC 0.00001 (or about $0.055 usd)
