£1m would buy roughly around 600 S9's + cost of PSU's if price goes up to around $1600 way

Not anymore.

You will get only 500 at current prices.
Seeing how much they go right now on ebay, the March batch will probably again go up. But that depends also on the btc price, not to forget that a 1% drop in the pound value will also cut 5 miners off the list....and so on.

And are you going to spend all the money on mining equipment?
You have the space, racks, air conditioning, money for at least 2 months rent ...all this stuff ready?

In case you haven't already noticed, the price for an S9 will likely be closer to $3000 rather than the $1600 you included in you original calculations. With the current Bitcoin frenzy (see FOMO), this may not be the last price hike for the S9.

Hi all,

I'm looking to raise £1m to build mining farm in the UK.

My total investment so far is I have 27 Antminer S9 and 5 L3+ running already and I have on order 30 Antminer S9 for January batch and I'm looking to also order around 100 Antminer S9 when Bitmain announce March batch.

I know the cost of electricity is higher in the UK than in most countries close by even for example (Iceland!) I still think investors would be comfortable knowing the mining farm is based in the UK.

£1m would buy roughly around 600 S9's + cost of PSU's if price goes up to around $1600 way

What are your thoughts guys?
