You can use a HDMI to DVi to a pc monitor. Why not just use the TV?  HDMI is really just DVI with sound included. If you plan to use the R Pi as a mining controller for usb connected miners, like a BFL box or Block Erupters you can use MinePeon and use the Web Interface. You just ooot the Pi , log into your router and look for MinePeon in the list of connected devices . Type the IP of MinePeon and you can do it from the web admin page.

Thanks for the advise their something to consider for when I get the pi

Just a nooby question as am unsure if this will work and wanted to know if anyone has tried this.

With the HDMI port it has to connect to a TV will this work if connecting up to a GPU hd port  or are the connections different.

Also wanted to know if the adaptor hdmi to dvi will work to connect to a pc monitor or does it have to be the hd leard to TV...

Thanks in advance
