Official cgminer doesn't support scrypt/gridseed, you need a fork like this https://github.com/dmaxl/cgminer/

By the way the best miner software for GS is this: https://github.com/siklon/cpuminer-gc3355

With your Raspberry you could try to install Minera it has every miners for GS built-in and a cool web dashboard to handle everything.

I highly suggest using Minera.  It will be much easier to use and far less setup time.

Only if your wanting to learn about the programs and command, or more behind the scenes is it worth doing it on raspbian.  And that is not a bad thing if you want this you will learn a lot more this way.

But most want the point/click start for ease of use.

Thank you for your reply.

The version of CG miner is last one 4.9  , what do you mean by gridseed ready?
I think i just need to config something un CG miner to be able to see It.

Is It minera better than cgminer?

What CGminer version are you using? Is it Gridseed-ready? What parameters are you using on CGminer?

Have you tried Minera? Smiley

Hello folks ,

I have purchased the raspberry pi 2 with raspbian (OS:NOOB) and a Gridseed asic miner 5 chip,

I have well configured Cgminer with this command:
cd cgminer
sudo ./autogen.sh
export LIBCURL_CFLAGS=’-I/usr/include/curl’
sudo ./configure --enable-bmsc
sudo make

Cg miner starts properly but it does not detect my Gridseed, ''0 devices detected"

when i check in raspbian it detect SGS thomson microelectronics so must be the gridseed, then on the gridseed i have the green light flashing

I have already updated the USB (rpi-update)

Could you help me if i missed anything with the configuration ?
