The thing is that no one can really what will happen in the next coming months and where these projects coins  or tokens you have on your portfolio will be heading next. But I like the fact that you’re not relying just on cryptocurrency like some people would do, it’s best that you have a full-time job to be supporting your self and having cryptocurrency as a side job, and when things works out in crypto you will just cash out.

By the way, why don’t you have Bitcoin and Ethereum in your portfolio? These are the two that most people talks about, and especially Ethereum, there are lots of projects being launched on their platform and also the team has plans to unveil ETH 2.0 which is already on the way. It’s still your choice, if the team that’s behind the coins you have chosen are working really hard, you will see some changes anytime soon.

The field is definitely in demand. Are there any bold solutions you can recommend?

The one I would recommend you to have a look at is hCaptcha.  hCaptcha is designed to solve the most labor intensive problem in machine learning: labeling massive amounts of data in a timely, affordable, and reliable way. hCaptcha allows websites to make money serving this demand while blocking bots and other forms of abuse. Have a look at website

Good afternoon thread. What I wanna say tech based solutions are developing more and more and getting to some industries that used to work without it. I am pretty impressed with the value that certain worthwhile solutions are bringing to the table. Of course, analysis is required here to evaluate every particular solution

You have only one good altcoin in your portfolio - PolkaDOT that already experienced a huge growth, so consider if it is not a time for selling it and buying something before the growth. I would recommend Bitcoin and Ethereum because with these two coins you can't make a bad choice. Smiley

I will rate it as 6 out of 10 because in my opinion you have either added old projects or newer projects which is kind of strange and ern if you had to go with old ones you should have gone with the solid ones like btc and eth. Anyways good luck to you hopefully it will bring profits to you.
Don't pay attention to other people's point of view on each project, because in the crypto space everyone is free to choose their choice according to the taste they like, they carry out what they have researched this year, as well as you even though their perspective is different.

with an amount like that, why don't you just invest in etherum? which clearly has a better price and market potential than small token tokens that use etherum smart contracts or not. it is good to invest in small tokens, with the hope that the purchase price is cheap and can sell them for a high price (if that is successful). while investing in large coins, you will see a clearer future market cap and volume.

I prefer to invest small money in more risky projects that have work to show in cryptospace, than in coins that already have a high marketcap.. except for Bitcoin and Ethereum, those will grow overtime I'm pretty sure..

Your small investment of money will also be very valuable for any project party, because things like that are also very good, because the average person who gives advice in terms of investment with the ability that we only have, even though only in a small amount, meaning not too much forced too because everyone is investing in their own abilities.

I think that 34% for LSK is a very risky investment! I would remove it from the list at all!
What is ULTRA I do not know either, nor EFX...
In total it turns out to be 65% (!!!!), of which I would definitely allocate 35% for bitcoin, and divide by 10% for more stable developing projects... For example, KMD or XEM...

Well, newbies like you maybe not afraid of risks, because you chose to own altcoins than bitcoin.
It is ok, as long you can afford to lose what you invested on, then you will be good.
Zilliqa, i think that is the best coin in your portfolio. Why not invest on ETH ? The upcoming update seems promising to me.

That is why it is called portfolio because they are a collection of assets. Also, there is nothing wrong with his portfolio as any project can go boom anytime. From what I know, Polkadot is a good altcoin as it rivals Ethereum. The upcoming Ethereum 2.0 will lower down the Ethereum fees which is very high right now, however, a lot of altcoins is also in the act of competing Ethereum's blockchain like Quarkchain.

Buy bitcoin. Make sure it forms a decent percentage of your total investment.
The mistake I made when I started was to go all-in on alts, and it took me a while to see it. I see a lot of newcomers making the same mistake I did.

Bitcoin still has huge room for price growth, so don't be put off by the fact that it's already expensive. It is more resilient to price drops than other coins, it has a strong use-case, and it is the safest crypto purchase you can make.

Being a risk-taker is a good thing or an advantage for a newbie who invests in cryptocurrencies because he has an act of courage that doesn't matter what would be the outcome. As long he has the discipline and never let greed consume him in buying or selling cryptocurrencies. I think UNI coin and other Defi projects are suitable for investments because they are hype, but I temporarily have stopped buying and selling cryptocurrencies for now because I am having trouble paying the fees, that is why I keep holding all of them.

Thanks for your time and have a great day!
We cannot really judge that it is completely good or that it is completely bad. It really depends on various circumstances, especially the crypto world is very volatile. Correct timing is needed, this is the principle we must uphold when engaging with crypto, knowing the timing of entry and exit. All the projects you choose are good, if you are able to predict the right time to execute them before there is a storm, so you have to really understand the state of the market/roadmap including rumours and news, it will increase your chances of making big profits. A little delay will make you lose a lot because usually, a new project will find it difficult to rise from "death". It's different with BTC or ETH, the market power is strong, so even if there is a decline, there will definitely be an increase as long as you are patient and apply the right strategy. That is why many members recommend choosing BTC or ETh or other coins that already have a good market.

Hi boys and girls,

I am relatively new to the crypto world and after reading up on various projects (plenty of choices) I finally bought some crypto coins this week. I know it's a bit silly, but I wanted to share my portfolio with you to get a broader picture of how I put it together. If you don't care about someone else's portfolio, that's fine, I wish you a pleasant day. If you just like to talk about crypto and do want to respond, feel free to give your honest opinion. That's the point, isn't it? The more different ideas and opinions, even if I do not always agree, the better you can assess things yourself. That's how I think about life in general.

some extra info: I work fulltime and I have a family with two small children, so I'm definitely not a day trader and do not want to monitor prices daily.  So you can say I'm a hodler. Of course, I will check updates and if necessary, I will act. That is why my portfolio mainly contains coins in which I see potential in the long term.

So here it is:
34% Lisk (LSK):  A dead project for some, but they are developing as hell. I don't really care no one is talking about it, it seems they are on the right track and know what they are doing. No false promises (not anymore). When there will be news, it will be big. I like that style.
25% Zilliqa (ZIL): In my opinion, massive potential. There are not many competitors who are offering such a great scalability solution while ensuring that security won't be affected. The sharding technology is a fantastic improvement. But of course, everything has to fall in place.
21% Ultra (UOS): also massive potential. The game industry is growing by the year. It's innovative,  they already have great partnerships, and an experienced team. Even if they only take a fraction of the market cap related, their growth would be substantial.
10% Poldakot (DOT):  they still have everything to prove, but I like the idea that they do not want to be that 'ethereum killer'. The projects can easily coexist. I chose DOT above ETH for the simple reason I believe, if you look at the market cap, profits will be higher for me with DOT.
10% Effect.Ai (EFX): Great community and first mover on the AI algorithm market. I believe there will be a need for a marketplace to connect AI algorithms with any entity that is seeking to utilize algorithms with learning abilities in their company.

That's it. What do you think? Broke in a few years? Wink Btw, total amount now is 4500$.

Thanks for your time and have a great day!

Portfolios are still prone to risk because what they hold is altcoins and it's clear history about altcoins, how many altcoins are just thrown away after being bearish, so choose bitcoin as the main investment because it's quite strong where if there is a crash in the market you don't need to worry if fully held bitcoin in your portfolio.

Indeed, the altcoins that you mentioned are at the top but for me it is less certain that it will benefit in the long term, so it is better to accept advice from other people who are more experienced with the coins held in the portfolio.

I would say that this is a risky portfolio, not bad one by the way not saying it is totally useless and bad and you should sell it or whatever, I am not a person like that and I do not say that to any portfolio ever at all. However this is a risky one, it could become 100k or it could go down to 500 dollars, we may never know until it actually happens, it could even go down a lot and go up even further higher as well, because these are volatile new and risky coins that we do not know how they will do.

Polkadot increased a lot, depends on where you bought it, it is a good idea or a very bad idea. All of these coins do depend on where you bought them, if you didn't bought at the top you should be fine and we will see with time but do not think that these are safe bets, they will either make you rich or very poor.

I am not getting why you had excluded some potential coins like Bitcoin & Ethereum. It's fine you want to increase your bitcoin portfolio by holding some altcoins. I don't know if you have chosen the right or wrong coins since I am not well aware of their background. Just keep in mind, whatever altcoin you will choose, you should know the history and background of that coin. And you should hold at least some BTC on your portfolio. So that you will not miss it if in case bitcoin bump and altcoins dump. We have seen on the last bear run, bitcoin goes up but all altcoins dump. We should take a lesson from the past even it wasn't your mistake. We can't learn always from our own past mistakes.

maybe you need to add allocation for those coin.  polkadot and efeect ai was good project that have bright future in crypto market. there is no reason to sell it in near time because they could give us profit more than 50% . total amount $4500 was huge number investment and you need to add major coins like bitcoin and ethereum to hedge your altcoin protofolio.

Only polkadot and zil on your list would be good for me in the long run. But as a trader or investor, I think that you go for an in-depth research for those coins before you put your money to it. It`s nice but I advised to you that you should have at least eth or btc in your portfolio. Why? because mostly, top alts and btc are moving up and other alts still down.

What is the good thing as I see you as newbie trader is having a portfolio. And you really know why you entered in that position. Hope that you will continue it until you double or triple up your trade.

For me, I really don't think it's a good idea to allocate more on altcoins for your portfolio these days. Especially those altcoins got the little market cap.
Btw, you don't really have Bitcoin or Ethereum in your portfolio? Even a small portion? Or maybe it's only for the altcoins portfolio you have?
The reason is, as the Bitcoin dominance is still high and still holding around 60%, it is really dangerous for some altcoins, they can easily be dumped these days.

My portfolio consists of 33% bitcoins, 42% ethereum, 15% stablecoins for speculation and 10% other coins, tokens, shitcoins.
I have Zilliqa, but there is very little of it, I plan to buy Poldakot, but I can’t decide at what price yet.
On the crypto market the price grows for the coin or token which is pumped.

Hmmm, interesting salute your courage, because what amaze is that you invest in a coin that is not well known and believe it will thrive, good job, though conducting little analysis as of now, the coin are good to some extent, i urge you to always follow the coin update, and one thing i know about crypto is that its always win win, because any project you invest in, if its not dead you will earn your money back, it only takes time,

I think that Bitcoin and Ethereum will grow the next year, maybe Ethereum more than Bitcoin.. If you want to invest in other crypto, learn about it.. it's really easy to loose money in this market, more than any other..
There are projects that deserve to take a look, like the ZCRT Token that has only 500k supply and the risk to buy a good amount now is low..

You have to add bitcoin, ethereum and another coin from top coins.
Then you should add one from chainlink, band protocol and dia.
One from snx, jrt and aave.
These additions will make your portfolio more updated and balanced.

Zil, Dot and Lisk are fine for me but Lisk, I think its glory days are done. I'll rate this portfolio 50 out of 100. There are many that lack of things but if you'll listen to others suggestion, it could improve.
Just add some other coins like bitcoin, Ethereum, monero.

I agree with some of your choices and that is in the aspect of LSK and ZIL; these two are moderate if I am to rate them because their team are trying their best to maintain a good advantage over others. As for others, I can't say more about them because I have don't much information on them but I think EFX is an old project which is rarely heard of.
Nevertheless, in my own opinion, I would say why not do it this way; 50% Bitcoin, 30% Ethereum, 10% LSK and 10% ZIL. Bitcoin and Ethereum are coins which you can have in your portfolio and be sure of your investment.

At least, you know the reason why you are holding.

Almost, everyone doesn't know the reason why they are holding. Most of the trader become older without some reason just because they losing a few percentage and doesn't want to take the lose by cutlose the coin. Because of that's they got more loses and make them holding the coin with a long term (Long holder), IMO every person have their own opinion so as long you know the reason why buying/holding its fine to me.

Just don't forget to make some solution when you are on the lose position, keep holding or trying to cutlose the coin to not make you more lose.

So you don't own Bitcoin at all? What a shame.

I understand dedicated altcoin investors, but I don't wand will never understand an altcoin investor who doesn't even have 10% of protfolio in Bitcoin.

On top of that you don't have any "important" altcoins.

One look at the chart of LSK assures me that it's a shitcoin.
33 USD top and for the last 2 years the coin oscilates around 1 USD. Any coin that can't even hold 10% of its peak value year after year is garbage.

if you are "a newbie" it's very risky have "opinions" since this will not any real advantage.
It's always hard pick altcoins. Mostly are pumped or dumped by whales that can hold a big amount.
You MUST hold some bitcoin or I see something wrong in your crypto portfolio.
I mean any altcoin can have an advantage, but if you want to have a strong portfolio you must have bitcoin.

I am trying to complete an analysis to highlight how the value of altcoins (promoted in 2017) have literally collapsed when price of bitcoin has been always stable or with a low decreasing. There are just few options, close to impossible to be detected....

Buy 50% Bitcoin and 50% Monero. Forget all the rest. Learn how to store them safely. That is the most important part since it will not help you when price of Monero and Bitcoin go up 10 times but you will find out that your wallet was emptied by someone that got access to your computer or be some exchange hack or whatever. Spend time to learn how to keep your coins secure!  Then relax and wait. No need to do anything.
