Don't send them anything, it's a scam!
No one will give you 0.5 btc for free. Even if it was my friend who did it then I'll have some doubts.
Besides why are they asking you to deposit 0.002 btc before you can withdraw? Why don't they cut it from the 0.5 then  send you the remaining amount. It doesn't make any sense.
"If it's too good to be true.."
Please, remove the direct link to this scam website from OP or use code tags so it becomes non-clickable.

Yes, thank you all for confirming my doubts. I removed the link. Scammers shame!

How do I know the site is legit? Thanks for any insights!
https://ravebitc.com/
No legit website will ever "give" you bitcoin and then ask you to deposit some of your own in order to unlock it. There is no something as free money just laying around waiting for you to pick it up, as simple as that.

It's a classic style scam, they will keep increasing your first deposit request until your money is drained out.
Let's go to the "about us" page[1], mentioned that:

Hello,

Received some Christmas give away from that site about 0.5 BTC. To activate and be able to make transactions have to deposit 0.02BTC. How do I know the site is legit? Thanks for any insights!
