Like what FB did, they should ban those ICOs and those investments that are similar to scams but they must allow the legit ones. There should be filtering of these ads.
Who will decide which one is legit and which is a scam?
In the past, some well-established exchanges itself closed so how do they classify which site is not a scam or legit?
I think this banning is good and bad because by banning scam programs not able to promote their product in social media and which will reduce crypto scams.
In google ad network anyone can publish their advertisements and it is controlled by keywords but if someone complained about the particular advertisement then they immediately look into it and bring down if it is an unwanted site.
Indeed crypto ads can be like two sides of interdependent currencies. On the other hand removing crypto ads also reduces Google's own revenue.
To choose a good project or not, it's quite difficult because sometimes a good project doesn't work well. With the ban crypto ads by google also does not completely remove scam project
