It should be possible if you want to find the current prices using API. though every dex might have its own API limitation and its own functionality. You should take a look at the docs if they have it. For example, on Uniswap and Sushiswap there is API documentation available, if you can make use of it, you could achieve your goals.

if you want real time price update, you can use a bot. as you suggested, it works with an api so it's relatively quick and easy to use. there are a lot of telegram bots that offer this service for free, most of them use coinmarketcap as the source though, so check first if your coins is listed on cmc or not.

As far as I know theres no dex exchanges or AMM that offering an API for such function, but most of them display their native token in the bottom
Do you just want to see the price of certain tokens in fiat/dollar? In that case then just pair it with stablecoins (USDT or USDC) or you have an option to check them through market cap sites such as CMC or coingecko.
