It did seem unlikely that wingnut would have any significant funds to spare, or indeed that they would be wiling to part with them for a noble cause, heh.  But yes, an important clarification.
I had to mention that for anyone who is new in forum or not familiar with that character and his history, but more information can be found in Scam Accusations/Investigations.
If I remember correctly he bragged before how he is donating Bitcoin, but on his unsecure website (with communist logo) you can clearly see how he is spending this coins for funding his suborganizations (whatever that is), to maintain and improve his infrastructure (I wonder what that is) and for translating in other languages (that nobody reads anyway).

Human Rights Foundation announced today they made ten donations of total 3.75 Bitcoins to various developers who are working on creating better experience with Bitcoin or improving Bitcoin privacy.
HRF is non-profit organization who made similar donations in past and they created DevFund for that purpose, and they continue to support Bitcoin Core development.
Anyone can donate to this fund, they are accepting Bitcoin and Fiat currencies, they started with this project in 2020 and donated more than more than $900k to more than 25 developers so far.
It is interesting to see what projects received donations this time:

- 0.50 BTC to Fodé Diop for creating Bitcoin Developers Academy, targeting West Africa

- 0.50 BTC to Bernard Parah, Carla Kirk-Cohen, Tim Akinbo, and Abubakar Nur Khalil for Qala fellowship that helps growing Nigerian talents.

- 0.50 BTC to Vasil Dimov for his work on Bitcoin Core in implementing Tor v3, BIP155 and I2P support.

- 0.50 BTC to Fanquake (Michael Ford) for his work on Bitcoin Core.

- 0.50 BTC to BTCPay for writing Bitcoin Design Guide.

- 0.25 BTC to Lili and Richard Myers for open-source research project about Bitcoin in low-bandwidth environments.

- 0.25 BTC to Chaincase for open-source iOS Bitcoin wallet that features CoinJoin, coin control, and Tor for privacy.

- 0.25 BTC to SeedSigner for their work on open-source hardware wallet using Raspberry Pi Zero.

- 0.25 BTC to LNBits for their open-source Lightning wallet.

- 0.25 BTC to Umbrel bounty for adding JoinMarket app to the Umbrel full-node platform.
