Actually I think people are making less than 100K satoshis daily, average... The faucets reduced their rewards very much and many others died without adsense. It's possible to find some good faucets yet, but they aren't enough to make a good amount of satoshis.

When this topic was created faucets had great rewards, i remember one faucet had reward 500 satoshi every half hour. But with adsense bans, and current bitcoin price, most of faucets are giving ridiculous rewards, most of them 50-100 satoshi. Even 25 satoshi. If you want to make profit from faucets, you need good referral network

The best way to make a little money from faucets is by having a popular website that promotes faucet referral links.

as a faucet user you earn close to nothing:
here is my reasearch I posted earlier at one of the forums as I had already made calculations myself
lets say you want to collect rewards solo,no refs -just you, browser and a faucet list
first things first :you would want to compile a good faucet list for yourself, it will take anything from 1 hour to 1-2 days
once you have the list there is a little trick: you can create two different bitcoin addresses and self refer at each and every faucet you picked
there is no point collecting average reward less than 200 satoshi (including the affiliate reward) so total prize you get is something around 200 satoshi +10-50% affiliate commision=250 satoshis
now you have found 50 decent faucets that pay 200+ satoshi a pop, congratulations Smiley you are one persistent bugger
lets do the math: you have 50 faucets opened in separate tabs, not all of them allow to claim every hour or less, many would want you to chill for 2 and up to 24 hours before next claim
but lets assume you can claim 50 faucets every hour
it takes 5-30 seconds to copy paste your wallet addy and to complete the captcha+antibot challenge+tab out to the next one,so 50 faucets round should be completed in under 30 minutes time ,ideally
in 30 minutes you will earn 50*250=12.500 satoshis=0.08 $ USD at the time of the post   https://gyazo.com/888216f7ce632248f8d5c4d8c6daddfd
your hourly income is effectively 16 usd cents per hour, well done
if you do this for 8 hours with a 30 minute break to eat or defecate you will earn    wait for it .....          1.28$ usd
it is up to you to decide, but I strongly suggest you make a slightly different career decision

I have to agree with that comment, however there is still some little earnings for patient users.

Faucets are the only safe way of earning money in the bitcoin world. oh, some of them will cheat you, but if you use a lot, especially the ones that pay to FaucetBox, you will get most of the money you earn. The important thing is, what you do with the money. You can try a couple of 'investments' without worrying too much about losing your money, beause you earned it without risking your own money.

Look at the whole 'scam' thread, and you'll see how many investments actually pay off - very few of them. And faucets that offer high rewards if you don't withdraw are not safe bets. They may last for a while, but don't count on them to earn you lots of money.

Treat your faucet collecting like a game, and you'll earn a few pennies a week. Treat it like a job, and you'll earn okay money, then find somewhere safe to invest a little bit of it, and try it out.

Judging by the ever growing number of bitcoin faucets, a lot of people are still opening such sites. It is still profitable to run these type of site, so they will continue to pop up.

Different people have different experience with their faucet . some faucet pays few days and then down but some faucets stick online for long term and rally pays every time.

You might make a few cents a day from constantly clicking faucets for 12 hours each day, but most of them have a minimum withdrawal amount that would take a week earn. Mot faucets pay far less than the average transaction fee and use that as an excuse to set a high minimum withdrawal. The operators know most people will give up before they earn enough to make a withdrawal because it takes 70+ hours of constant work to earn that much.

Extrapolating the math, in 100 weeks (2 years) you'll have 1 bitcoin.

That figure should be a sticky or something. If you devoted those eight hours a day for two years to spreading your flaps on cam, which would be better for your RSI and more sociable, you'd have several hundred coins.

Thats a pitty, i was half planning on looking into creating a faucet in the hope that there was some way to make money from running them with ads but after reading the comments im actually not sure why anyone bothers running one at all other than just to promote bitcoin to new poeple.

you manually trying to raid faucets is not profitable. it works out as way way below $2 an hour. but faucet owners love it because they dont have to manually click anything. they just let 1000 unsuspecting noobs do the clicking and the faucet owner takes a cut.

imagine, instead of having to click something 1000 times. you get 500 people to click twice... knowing some people give up after the second try as they see your only giving them x divided by 2 (1 for u 1 for them)..

but as an extra bonus above expectations some crazy faucet raiders keep trying.. even if the limit to withdraw is 1,000 times higher than each click payout, they keep trying. and its these few people that end up earning you just as much or if not more than the 500 people clicking twice.

you still end up only getting a few dollars an hour.. just without the hardwork of you personally doing the clicking. because others are doing it for you.

its like going from working in a sweat shop for pennies an hour without break. to running your own sweatshop and taking a penny off of each slave working under you while you sit back and let others slowly get arthritis from clicking

If you click 8 hours epay.info/browse (not my ref link as is not allowed) you can make 0.005 BTC daily without any problems. I have made about 0.044 BTC in total without referrals, I don't click a lot, only on Weekends when I have free time. I suggest this faucet rotator to anyone willing to make 0.01 BTC in a week if they keep doing their job. Its better then most mining websites right now. Grin

1.07 what?

Faucets are a shocking waste of life but it's easy to forget about coutnries with lower costs of living. Faucets are still shit but sig campaigns may well add up to a respectable income for some.

totally true... 1.07  It is not something I could sustain but I suppose with referrals it could be less tiresome.  Given that most of the third world is accessing the internet through phones they could definitely do the apps.  The Wheel of Bitcoin app by xapo is great.  You can get a bonus round up to 5 times a day with a max win of 32,000 satoshis.  I calculated that a person could feasibly do 150,000/day satoshis just from that one app.

Also, if a person truly believes that Bitcoin is going to rise in value then it is more about how many satoshis you are grabbing rather than current price.

Call me crazy  Huh

The OP is referring to collecting from faucets, not running one.

There are some great faucets out there now and a couple of great phone apps by the devs at Xapo.  I tried a test and was diligent about claiming from 2 apps and a couple desktop faucets and made 1.07 for the day.  I dont have the time to do that everyday but if someone is in a third world country that is a lot of money.  They could feasibly make 20-30 a month and then adding a signature campaign they could gradually collect some bitcoin.

OP do a little research and find the best faucets and it may be worth it to you.

I guess it is relative as a faucet user if you "profit" or not. If you are already on the computer, and do not value your time....any amount greater than 0 is profiting. You will not get rich by a long shot....but thats not what faucets are for anyways.

If you are a faucet operator and have an adsense account, you can profit, but still not much(by American standards). One of the problems with running a faucet is most of your traffic will come from countries that adsense does not really care about, 20 unique clicks from Indonesia can net as little as $0.20 total(0.01/click). Another issue you run into is fraudulent adsense activity. A lot of users will think they are doing you a favor by clicking on ads repeatedly, but this just shows as invalid activity in your adsense account.....and if too much of it happens they will shut down your account and ban you for the future.

No, don't waste your time. Some bitcoin related sites and blogs have installed faucets as a way to increase traffic, the more common way is just to give away some Satoshis to get you on their mailing list.

Won't profit because electricity & internet connection price will take everything you got from faucet.

This, except the undeniable fact is that 99% of all faucet users are kids in their home who want a couple bucks - so they don't pay attention to that as much.

Okay, OP, I'll sum it all up for you.

If you want to go solo and make all your profits come from directly the faucet (no referrals), then a couple cents a day will be a profitable day to you.

If you get a ton of referrals for yourself - and I mean a TON, like 5,000+ - then you'll make a couple bucks a day. But this requires lots of time and lots of work, which just isn't worth it.

If you operate a faucet, it *might* be profitable to you, but only if you use Google AdSense because they pay around 10x the other networks - especially bitcoin advertising networks.

If you get a shitload of money or if you are rich, the bread crumbs given to people from faucets would be a waste of time. You can get much more from doing other tasks for

fiat and then buying bitcoins. I enjoy experimenting with faucets and seeing how creative people can get with them. I like Freebitco.in the most because they incorporated a

donation idea I suggested to them. {People donate some of their faucet income to Save the Children charity} There are better ways to make money... but it's still fun getting

free money from strangers. {Some faucets used to pay full bitcoins, when it started and look what it's worth now... imagine the same thing happening to the few Satoshi's

they are handing out today}

It's a waste of time unless you are the owner of the faucet and you get tons of traffic, other than that it's just pointless. Sig campaigns pay better but don't expect much, it's also a waste of time in the long term. You need to work for real money.

I will answer realistically and go straight to the point, I would be VERY surprised if you could make $1-2 per week. If you make that kind of money then it means you would have like 20 tabs opened in your browser all the time and remember when to claim from each. The best way would be using those faucets that pay big daily or semi-daily.

Faucets are only profitable if you can get tons of referral to double or triple your work to max out the satoshi you can get from it. Also if you can operate a bot then maybe someone could get atleast around 0.005 to say that you can earn decent from it.

As a user, the trick is to have the most referrals you could so your earnings will continue to grow even though you don't use yourself but in case your stuck with yourself only then you could earn around $1 within 8 to 10 hours so you shouldn't expect much but it would be good as an extra money in the end of each month if your consistent in using it.

Won't profit because electricity & internet connection price will take everything you got from faucet. Also, you spend a lot of time for tiny earnings.
But, you could earn some profit if you have thousand active refferals or often win biggest reward/jackpot in a faucet website. Some people could earn 0.05BTC/week from faucet because they have thousand of active refferals.

For most people, join signature campaign is the easiest & most reliable way to earn bitcoin. But, you also can join giveaway or promotion to earn free bitcoin, but don't expect too much.

whit freebitco.in i made some satoshis, don't expect money now, maybe in future if the btc goes to the moon, faucet will be profitable
If BTC goes to the moon, faucets will reduce their payouts downwards. Ultimately they'll pay 1 satoshi every time you fill in the captcha and then disappear.
Faucets are now, a bet on the future. It's a bit like mining was at the very beginning of bitcoin, back in 2009, when the electricty bill was higher than what your bitcoins were worth. Except there's even less warranty that you'll end up making profit from them. Plus you'd be better off finding a small job that pays you $25 and buy some mBTC's. Faucets are really slow money compared to a job, and they require work too. Filling captchas all day is a job, no matter what you say. Just it's like a job that pays 100 times or so less than taking the trash out at a Mc Donald's. Really really not rewarding. But the pay is directly in BTC. You don't need to convert. That's one thing.

From what i've read, it's hardly worth putting your time into running a faucet... You'll be lucky if you break even after paying for the domain name, the hosting, the funding, the withdrawal,...
OP was asking about playing faucets. For the rest I'm not sure. I'd tend to think that depending on which faucet you're running, you could pssoibly make a few bucks from it.
Now since the question is about playing faucets, yes, it's profitable if you're from Kazakhstan (or Venezuelian). Otherwise it hardly will bring you cents. Signature campaigns are much more profitable.

You won't profit, I swear. You're better off doing something more productive. This has been discussed a lot of times here, and you're only giving the owners ad-profits.

A way-around to this is lots of referrals, or a collector bot - but the captcha bypass may need a little more investment.
