You think that people are ready to buy only days after bitcoin lost half of its value?
It 'll take time for confidence to be restored.

Bid Sum + Ask Sum is like $61M...it's literally never been this high.

There is a lot of money waiting to enter the system.

Bitcoiners have been Goxed too many times, presumably, yes, they are moving to better exchanges indeed.

I believe Gox is still a trend setter to some extent for the exchange rate, though.

Gox is just a bot system that reflects the price on other exchanges. Since the other exchanges are trading sideways, the bots are not active.

You think the mtgox buying pressure is low? There is actually NO real buying or selling pressure on mtgox these days, except occasional arbitrage traders.
huh, hadn't thought about that. i could have sworn that when the exchanges werent following china, they were still following gox....

calm before storm. buy and sell pressure both weak. but most indicators show drastically reduced buy pressure from bordering on bear market territory, so more bearish than bullish i think

We need to see several months of price consolidation at this level before a new leg up.
