Its not a must to use medium or any social media website for promoting projects ,if they don't want it then they don't really want it on their website ,newbium is better and so is steemit but I really hope medium will have a second thought about this crypto article bans

Yeah many of my friends accounts have been banned. But my account was spared, I don't know why and am not complaining. I have decided not to post any articles on medium again to avoid my account being banned. I even avoid clapping for my friends project review articles.

From my side, I guess medium suspending bounty hunters (Not All I think) is because so many of them plagiarized the content, and that's make medium become low quality social blog.
Plagiarism is not what makes bounty hunters account to be banned. According to the medium rules which were attached to this thread, stated that bounty campaign is not wanted on the platform. So it is very clear that ones you are a bounty hunter and you post a blog to support a campaign, you will be banned from the platform. You may be thinking how do they discover this, but I think they actually build an algorithm to detect this and ones you are detected, you will be blacklisted before being finally blocked. Not only bounty hunters but any account that promotes bounty campaign

Medium must be unserious too, so they want to be using people too free to supply content for their site at no cost and they will still not have anything to do that will benefit them.

ICO Bounty Hunting Guides and Tips
I had problems with Medium and I contacted the stuff.
They explained me that if you are posting identical and similar content (like ICO reviews), your account is going to be suspended, as it is happening since more than a year.

Medium succumbed to the general trend to ban cryptocurrency, which took place in the spring of 2018. Many bounty hunters lost some rewards due to this sudden ban and were forced to use resources such as Steemit, Newbium and others.

I thing there will be some other factors too as only crypto related topics or bounty programs articles may be not the main subject as per medium rules.
I think the major factor to why they frowned at bounty campaign is the ranking of a thing they mentioned about, I don’t know much about how medium operates full but I think they have a ranking system and reward put in place too for making use of their social media platform just same way bitcointalk does, bitcoin talk was specially created for things like this, so campaigns participation might be valid for criteria Bitcointalk used in also ranking while medium feel is not accepted or applicable to their.

I just still see it has witch hunting too, probably they don’t have any way they can benefit from cryptocurrency like other i.eface book, and see no reason why their platform should also be used for what they don’t benefit from.

That's the main subject why medium has been banned a lot of accounts that related to the bounty or ICO promotion. Most of them are only copy-pasting from another person and that's why medium was putting really strict rules to its platform.

Yes, right, I also asked this to their email, they said they would suspend the copying account that was not available or filed an appeal.

things like that are common in a media or forum. if it is considered spam, scam, bully, racist, it will definitely be banned permanently for disturbing other users. therefore, we must be careful when on social media, because social media is used by all people in the world and one of them may be offended and can report us.

The onslaught started in 2018 when medium management felt that bounty hunters spam the forum and thereby making the core readers of medium blog which are mostly not into cryptocurency irk. It led medium to take the drastic measure. Kindly use cryptocurrency friendly forums such as steemit.com, minds.com and LinkedIn.com. They all have large viewer base too

When activities like this happen to curb some actions and no matter the period of such actions, it demonstrates the lack of capacity of numerous projects and platforms to deal with a mass adoption! The exchanges are the ones that most demonstrate this lack of capacity. If Medium received any percentage of these bounties, they would not struggle to ban it last year! How are things these days?

I think one of thr reason for this ban is that most bounty hubters write article which are similar to paid shillings and it lioks like a financial advice.  The best way to write and avoid medium ban is to write based on the technical prowes and opnion of the peoject and not as a financial advice
Aside this, most social media usually does not like cryptocurrency, Facebook started it first all account created for the promotion of cryptocurrency and also for the fact that they are not benefiting anything from these acts, most of these social media has already monetized the use of their platform and will not really promote your product without you paying for it and looking at many of these crypto pages, they don’t pay to promote their projects which makes them not to benefit from it because if they were fully against cryptocurrency, how come many of them are now beginning to introduce theirs too.

I just discover that medium no longer wants bounty hunters on their platform again. many bounty-related accounts have been suspended lately and today I check their rules and I found out they have added this to their rule.

Most likely, the blocking of accounts is due to the fact that recently there have been a lot of projects that set themselves only one goal to raise money and no further project promotion is planned.  Bounty hunters who perform tasks of such dubious companies in social networks without knowing it make advertising, thereby helping not honest ICO.  Sites that host such ads are annoying and they are likely to want to get rid of such actions by blocking accounts.

The reason is very simple. Most of the ICO projects will not be successful. The developer team only wants to make money and not build the cryptocurrency industry. Therefore, the media prohibits cryptocurrency advertising as an expected event.
Even though I believe some of your statements. I hope you know there are still some initial coin offereing related content on medium in which the publishers are not banned. For such publishers to be allowed without ban it goes a long way to show that medium might be interested in legit and plagiarism free content which I believe only few bounty hunter do. Alot of hunters write poor review to get token and that is the reason why it is easy for many of them to write in more than 5 blogs.

But indeed, recently many projects, even non-fraudulent ones, cannot bring their project to a successful conclusion.  The reasons may be different, but first of all everyone thinks that they want to be deceived.  And against the background of all this, the above-mentioned sites, in which there was information about bad companies, are losing their reputation.  To avoid trouble, they try to struggle in different ways for the purity of the information published on their sites.

That's how we are losing options to get some coins without investing initial fiat but hard works. Twitter, Facebook, Medium everyone seems don't want the crypto hunters. Still, you can use them, just don't overdo anything. For example, do not use your account only for clapping crypto article. Instead, write something better for the community, limit your clapping, give time and read before clapping, medium is very intelligent to optimize its users. This should keep your account safe on the platform.
Their rules is very clear. if you are into bounty hunting you are not wanted clearly on the platform no matter how clearly you try to rephrase your article in order not to be caught, this will surely happen one day and the worst scenario is that sometime you may not have gotten your reward before your account get suspended and ones this happen all contents you have written become irrelevant and in accessible publicly. the best you can do is to quit using the platform if you are hunter period

I think they are trying to rid out the spammy article wrote by some of bounty hunters and bring backed the credible ones, its not a surprise since medium was based in United States and they are very aware of their national laws that implemented well. But if your account is not looking suspicious and its not spammy in content. I think its okey and no need to be alarmed!

It is a surprising news. These platforms treat crypto as a threat but I think these can co exist with crypto.
They think ICOs as threat not the crypto currencies so they were restricting advertising anything related to ICOs will be banned there but you can post anything about the crypto currencies becuse in there rules no where stated that posting about cryptos were not allowed in their platform.

Because they care about their platform, lets take this thing to consider. Its clearly all about the spams which is why we shouldnt be letting those hunters to ruin all the opportunity that we might have, cryptocurrency topics are be much spammy than any other topics in medium,as these people are flooding the medium with plagiarised contents which is why it is better to be regulated or restricted than destroying medium's content for good.

Just to be precise here - Medium did not ban all crypto related accounts, the blogs of blockchain projects and enthusiasts are still there. Everything has an alternative now. Let's not hang out in one place. As we value them, they are trying to kick our ass, or trying to use us as much as they can. So we should know how to kill the monsters we created when the time comes. They must be our slaves, we are not theirs!

Nowadays there are many large platforms that block crypto advertising. It's not clear on what grounds they are doing this and what are their plans for a crypto market. There is evena version that digital giants are preparing some blockchain project and want to enter the market on better terms by holding it's development.
as you can see on the rule it is very clear on why they are doing this. and this is because they want to make sure the website is free of spam messages and also content that is misleading or scam project promotion which can lead them to trouble. if you read medium post about bounty well you will understand many articles are full of irrelevant and similar posts which is being targeted to drive traffic to token sales website. you know also that many ICO which have turn out to be scam (e.g denaro, Sym) are being paraded by bounty hunters on medium as good project to invest into.

I think that Steemit is a much better platform for blogging about cryptocurrencies. It even uses cryptocurrency as an integral part of the way it operates. The only reason I still keep a Medium account is that so many cryptocurrencies are using it to inform their followers about developments. Until the end
Why do these social media do not like cryptocurrencies? The first is Facebook, then Twitter, and now the Medium, they have all taken drastic measures to limit the publication of ICO content articles.

Because crypto is a threat.  One of the main principles behind crypto in general is decentralization.  This is a threat to their business models.  Privacy is trending now and anything that lets you hold on to more of your data is deadly to them.  If Facebook didn't track so many points of data they wouldn't have anything to sell to corporations, governments or other entities.  Regular people aren't their customers, it's the people that buy your data.

Because the bounty hunters are doing shitty copy pasting to the whole platform, like what we have know in this forum!that is why you are going to get less platforms that you are going to use.Spams has lessen here that is why the merit system was implemented to this forum, as far as i can see restrictions could open some good opportunity in the mraket.

Sadly, it is true. Sometimes, the main purpose of those articles are just so they can earn their stakes in the medium bounty campaign. Some even resorts to plagiarism and or they just copy paste a portion of other people's work. In my opinion, medium made a very good decision because this will lessen the spam in their site. I also believe that medium is a platform in where well-written articles that aims to INFORM the public such as informative announcements or articles coming from he dev team of legit ICO teams should be posted.  It is not a place to advertise a company or a business. Let's face it, content or comments made by bounty hunters isn't the best quality, rather just regular spam with no value. Of course there are exceptions, sometimes very creative people take part in bounty campaigns, but they are minority. So this rules are understandable, Medium team is trying to keep the quality high on the platform.

I think better place for crypto bounty content is now Steemit, since more and more projects are making social campaigns on this platform.

however, I also have a medium account and its content is full of cryptocurrency, until now my account is still usable and safe with no problems at all, and also many other accounts.
so we can not conclude that account suspended because medium cryptocurrency, there must be other factors.
Medium published ban on ICO and cryptocurrency advertisments at the same tine as google. You've just missed it. So if you post about how good is blockchain technology and etc. you are perfectly fine. But if you post somethng like "buy this ICO token for 10x gains" your account will be suspended. The same thing may happen to you on YouTube nowadays.

So they want to prevent bad thing happend by not even let any ICO get promoted at their platform. But this is only my opinion, you still can see a official ICO medium page though even the bounty campaign related channel at that project being suspended.

Why do these social media do not like cryptocurrencies? The first is Facebook, then Twitter, and now the Medium, they have all taken drastic measures to limit the publication of ICO content articles.

Yeah it's an interesting trend. I didn't think much would come out of FB/Twitter/Google but Medium is often used for crypto content so this is pretty bad news.

I just discover that medium no longer wants bounty hunters on their platform again. many bounty-related accounts have been suspended lately and today I check their rules and I found out they have added this to their rule.
