There are bots claiming the satoshis at several faucets meaning these bots taking the bitcoins from the faucets doing a 0 support and claiming always till your balance reach 0 soo you sure can try a high offer but in the end of the day you will see how the support vs debit is going ,just let that for 3 or 7 days and check the results daily.

If you could set it up to give more than whats usual, the more joiners will you have.  People can definitely do things with enough motivation. I myself with likely join if I get more.

In the beginning keep the rewards higher to get users then lower or increase it based on your user count and ad revenue

Reward = user / adrevenue

When you calculate like this the reward amount will be too small, but you will get an idea what your reward should be...take 10% of profit and let 90% of ad revenue go to users

Users will claim as far as your faucet have high rewards...the trick is to keep these users visiting your faucet even when the reward is average...add some additional features

(Faucet Balance) : [(Approx.Prize per claim)*(Approx. Daily Hit)] = Approx. days your faucet will be sufficent

It would give you an idea. But remember, this wouldn`t be so relaible math if your web side statistics are not stable.

I had tryed to run a faucet without pay the hosting ,only having one banner from the owner.I were offering something like 300 satoshis every hours and people were complaining it were small i had some traffic and guess what the revenue from ads were very small compared what i were paying soo i had taked the funds out of faucets before get into a loss. The most well know faucets started this knowing they would loose money in the begining now they may be at profit but they always start in the red.

yes, how much in reserve is recommended?

All must be based into the ammount you have ,soo you must put the reward based on your pocket, soo maybe a 100 or 300 satoshis at begining may be the right start.

i agree. for start start with small amount.
with 1000 satoshi your faucet will quickly became popular., but you must have reserve money to hold it. if you have not enough, you better not start

How does 800, 1000 or 1200 satohi / 180 minutes sounds like? And Also 40% referral commision! Now is that doable or too unsustainable for a startup faucet?

calculate
(2000 visitors) x (3x claim daily) x (minimum 800) = 0.048BTC  + referral earnings
you need to have daily income more  than 25$ to keep live your faucet and make any profit
2000 visitor is not a hugh traffic number, and if working good 4-5000 visitors daily is close to

Ok I see my prizes won't hold for a sustainable startup faucet, could you suggest prize settings? What would be the ideal price range?

the one im currently trying is claim btc as u can see in my signature.. its gives between a range of satoshi... so u can earn upto 400 sats per 20 mins.. if ur lucky ... this in turn gives output higher than most of the faucets.. they also include bonuses and stuff... its fun this way..

I like a higher reward like 1500 satoshis every 5 or 6 hours. When your income is higher than that, you could lower the wait time to 4 or 5 hours. I also like a smaller reward like 200 satoshi every 15 minutes, but that's 800 per hour, so you need a higher income to do that.

i think when faucet tries to be hidden, it is easy to calculate reward anyway

say 888 satoshi for 888 minutes (I see some faucet like this every day).

this mean 1 satoshi / minute.
this mean 60 satoshi / hour.

and then you see it's not very good.

My opinion is that I like faucets that have a higher reward and longer waits. That way I get more of a reward, but spend less time working for it. Some of the faucets I visit the most often can be found here freebitcoinrotator.ga   Wink

I will visit some of the sites with the smaller rewards and quicker times though if I feel it's worth it. There's also sites like http://moonbit.co.in/ that are kinda the best of both rewards. You can visit more often for smaller rewards or wait longer periods to get larger rewards. (Speed at which satoshi is added to your reward decreases with time so you have an incentive to visit more often, but don't have to)

Not only the prize, but the prize/(time to claim) ratio matters. If I have few fast claiming, moderately paying, reliable faucets in my list why do I need those tricky "high-paying" faucets with anti-bots and  confusing claiming procedures?  Smiley And lets not to forget that faucets are about advertising in a first place and cryptocurrency as a tool of  micro-payment in a second.

i think that faucet with 10-20 min. is are not sustainable on long term. also 700-1000 satoshi is minimum for decent rewards

Well to satisfy all the users maybe having 2 or 3 reward system could be a great idea, for example users can choose between 750 satoshi every hour or 1500-2000 sat every 5-6 hours or 3500 every day of course if you claimed on one you cannot use the others. I remember i saw something like this on a scammy faucet but it was a good idea imo.

Personally I prefer faucets with timer like moonbitcoin, you are free how much you claim and they have nice rewards.

Yes, that would be nice, a great idea

The reward must be something that faucet is generating daily ,otherwise makes no sense have a faucet to pay more then you are earning soo be a 500 or 1000satoshis hour will only atract more or less users but its better to runs with susntentable income vs reward.

In my opinion, best faucet should have prize in range 500-10000 satoshies with average around 700-1000 sats. PPL like to have chance of getting bigger prize.

For me the reasonable claim depend of how many captcha code i get insert for have.
If site pay 1000 satoshi for hour, for me is good, but if pay 200 satoshi every 10 minutes (and i get add 6 time a captcha code) is a losed time.

I would think 500-1000sat/hr, or you can transpone this to 1000-2000/2hr,  2000-4000/4hr and so on but there must be a relation with your ad income, that's the most important criterium.

Most users (myself) prefer it to be in the range of 1000 per hour but due to the recent price increase of Bitcoin then I think you could lower it a bit or rather make it to have multiple reward like 500 (60%) 750 (25%)
1000 (15%) for each hour or even better, make everything triple, the time interval and rewards so they will still have a good rewards and less need of claiming.

I personally think 1000 satoshi is the minimum amount to be attractive for people. Today there are already so many faucets available...good luck with it.

Everyone will be different. I'd think 500/hr. Others will think higher reward per longer wait.

Depends. Some like to visit more often.

Hello fellow members!

I wasn't sure of which category to post this question to. Anyway I've been searching the net, specifically different bitcoin faucets to do some reasearch on prize setting and I was a little confused because of course there is a huge variety in prizes in different faucets. Some pay 200-1500 satohi per hour, others pay 2240 satoshi per 6 hour etc. What would be the ideal prize to set for a faucet? Of course, the higher the better but suitability is a huge factor in this. What would be the ideal prize range to put on a faucet with suitability in consideration? And also attractive to users!
