The reason why ripple would increase in value this is us because of the negative political impact on the cryptocurrency coins like bitcoin, bitcoin was a competitor of ripple where triple was built to circulate in regards to the rules of the central banks
Ripple might be in the spotlight and might be developing day by day but in my opinion it cannot take the place of bitcoin after achieveing so much. Bitcoin is in the first place and always will be in. None can take its place. Good wishes to ripple. Hope to gain a lot of achievement very soon.
I don't believe there is something like "the year for ripple" in terms of usage. If there was such a thing like the year of ripple, it was last year.
Ripple token, the one listed and traded, has nothing to do with the ripple technology. so even if every single bank in the world uses ripple (which is ridiculous to think that), the ripple coin listed on exchanges got nothing to do with this!

Actually many especially the advocator of this coin will say different attractive thing in favor of the coin. But a doubt prevails regarding the achievement of such tall talks. Moreover all the things are based on prediction. So only invest bitcoin as it has proved it’s potentiality through performance. Bitcoin has future.

But talking about being 2018 is ripples year?doubt it will happen,trust me ripple wont reach 1$ even the year end and when i say it always come true.

Ripple will indeed do great this year and in the upcoming years. $XRP value however may hover around this mark, or maybe a bit higher. I still cannot phantom XRP reaching heights of $10 or more. I see people 'predicting' (hoping) for $100 or more....to me this is unrealistic, especially in the current market. Also, I think Ripple is a nice temporary solution to get mass adoption of blockchain/crypto by banks...but in the end it may become obsolete due to real crypto usage.

many partnerships already established by ripple even from the end of last year also join one of the big companies. But even though much big partnership to present changes to ethereum has no visible results at all and far from expectations. certainly, many people hope the ripple will go up high with this but in reality just the same.

I am not so sure about this. I do believe that Ripple has tremendous potential due to its popularity and real world use cases and I don't have a problem with it being associated with banks since I believe in the idea that cryptocurrencies should coexist with FIAT in some way or another. Ripple continues to sink in value at the moment due to the ongoing bear market and am not expecting a reversal in its value until the end of this year.

Its been accepted in some banks for transactions which is a great news and no doubt this crypto is going to change the scenario in crypto market in terms of its position and the recent status. I hope so, because I am holding this coin for long term. So, I am expecting there will be good day for Ripple as you have said. However, every one probably has different views and opinion of this issue, according to their research of Ripple. Regardless all the speculation and assumptions about it, I still believe and will always think positively for it.
But XRP may face problems with U.S policy, because XRP looks more like securities more often than not, so this is one of my biggest concerns, so that I'm not a big fan of XRP.

It seems ripple will become more popular this year because of so many country are accepting and making crypto legal and since ripple coin is a centralized cryptocurrency , I think this altcoin is very usable for any payments which is made at the bank , but honestly I don't want to use this coin as an investment .

With almost positive news everyday, the price of ripple is still weak. That is what the market is saying about Ripple.

I don't really understand people why they invest in ripple, could somebody clarify this to me? First of all ripple is centralized which means that not everybody is available to openly run a node and take part in validation of the transactions. Funders still hold mass amount of XRP on their side and it is not distributed. The best part is that even banks are not obligated to use their XRP token if they opt to use their platform or any kind of business tomorrow. They can simply go there and create a token of its own. I can't deny that there is huge opportunity within ripple to make some buck but I fail at understanding why it matter to us.
Everybody has a different vision and speculation, no one like them, so they invest in the ripple because they see a lot of benefits and the project of the ripple in the future, they will increase the price so they decide first private But I personally do not see the strengths of the ripple nor decide to invest in them. They are probably a bubble coin.

Sorry, I don't think this year for Ripple. Though I invested in Ripple I don't like this coin too much. This year for etehreum, it was our slogan in January, And I still believe that this year for Ethereum. Ethereum has a good chance to hit 2K USD. I agree that ripple can soar in price before our eyes, as there is a constant hype around this project. But still I think that the maximum peak of its popularity and price, this project will be able to gain only when there will be many countries to change the policy about cryptocurrencies and start a boom in centralized cryptocurrencies.

This whole centralized problem with Ripple is honestly not a huge deal for many investors since such investors are simply interested in earning profits irrespective of where they come from. Ripple has huge potential due to its real life use cases. The regulations are something that always itch me when I think about the Ripple. The coin has given me lot of profits but that was just part of trading strategies which made it worth it.

I still have got lot of doubts about this coin. The Ripple is big lie when everyone call it as crypto currency. It has no features of crypto currencies except the thing that it works on the blockchain platform. But thats not the full characters of the crypto currency. That would be a decentralised nature of the coin and the value defined with public interest and investments! Just imagine how much volume it has got today and with that kind of volume it could have had the price of more than 500 USD today and not just the f$$$ 55 cents!
