But the ads are what gives the site value, without ads no faucet Sad
But will keep it in mind to reduce the amount and make them not intrusive Smiley

You can use AdSense for put an ads on your site, although they give $ but AFAIK they worth to try.

Also you can use bitcoin ads network like a-ads, bitmedia, coinurl, and ect.

I think Xapo & FaucetBox are the most populay way for payment for most faucet
You could put both of them & let the user choose between Xapo & FaucetBox

Also 250 - 2000 satoshi is enough
But, if you add jackpot, it could attract more bitcoiner
Yeah a jackpot is always nice, it gives you a big amount for your hard work.  Grin

Few sites like freebitco.in become popular because jackpot system
Also, could become better if there aren't any annoying ads

But still, what wat impress you? Besides making my own 'baby'

I do not understand what you try to say.

it's probably my bad english and a typo Smiley

My question was what would be an improvement that could impress you. I know that when I am making my own I can do whatever I want, but what would be a feature that would impress you, besides the fact I did develop it by my own(what I refered as making my own baby).

I want to reboot my faucet, it is twitching in it's last state of life, used the microwallet faucet but the last payment never arrived and the faucet has depleted. I was planning to update the faucet anyways, needed a better look and a better payout.

What is a good base for a faucet? Faucetbox? Direct to Xapo? I hoped ePay would have opened up their api but alas.
Should I use my own code and skipp a third party and do I really want to take the risk and trust my own coding skills?
What should be the minimum payout and what the max? I like to be on top and invest in the bitcoin community, would 500 to 1000 satoshi/hour be ok?

Most all faucet users just looking for earning rate, I personally prefer to faucet which have a unique feature, not make me bored.

500-2000 per hour is enough.

That is sweet and all, but not what I am looking for Wink

Making my own would have the advantage of having all control and not losing money to others, only due to my own stupidity ofcourse.
But joining an existing system would have the benefit of the userbase it allready has. So many variables, so many choices. I think there lies my biggest problem, not knowing how to choose and not able to just go for something without a doubt, or with a doubt but take the risk.

But still, what wat impress you? Besides making my own 'baby' Tongue

Personally, I would recommend building your own if you can. I haven't really been impressed with most of the faucets I've come across.

What would be an improvent that would impress you?

It's what I did...
is so much funnier if you programme your faucet yourself...even if it is worse for many people, but it is your "baby"

Faucetbox or Paytoshi is probably best to start with if you don't want to mess around with things such as transaction fees and cron jobs.
If you're not too great at security, using a pre-made script is probably best since they have been checked for any loopholes or backdoors.

from what I see, using xapo seems to be common with some of the more popular faucets; no need for a minimum payout that way.
