I have seen many altcoins were rebranding its name. What do you think are some reasons to this?

Well I believe it is a one way strategy to pull investors to their project.
Like for example Neo (formerly Ant Shares), Dash (Darkcoin and just recently Railblocks to Nano.

what are your thoughts to this? Do you believe that soon bitcoin can be rebranded too? Smiley

Rebranding a coin will be good, the sell orders and buy orders will be reset to zero, but the price would be the same.Rre-branding means new name for the coin probably a new developer team they are doing this to attract new investors.

I like their rebrand cause the name become more soft and easy to remember IMO  Grin Grin its important to attrach some investor
I disagree when someday bitcoin are rebrand to others name, its just like the mother of cryptocurrency so IMHO there is no need to rebranded this.

I see it like some sort of pumping technique, usually done by bagholders. Once in a while the name change is justified.

We have seen a lot of alternative cryptocurrency that did this and the reason why some of them are rebranding is because they want to have a development that can affect its future growth or they want to do huge change on their future plans and goals. i think it is just like a hard fork but changing its whole name to different one. aside from that nothing special. they just want more attentions to encourage more investors to buy their coin.

Some do it to get more funding. I have also seen them do it after the group splits up.

Altcoins may actually be the future of cryptocurrencies, rather than Bitcoin for various reasons including transaction speed and fees. To add to that, they are pretty ... It used to be called DogeCoinDark somewhere in 2014 but has been rebranded to Verge later in 2016. Like Monero, Verge is supposed to be ...
