BSPAs of December 2019, Mayroon ng 13 virtual currency exchange ang naregistered ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Pinapakita nito na ang paglaki ng market adoption sa Pilipinas.
Ang mga operators ng ATMs for virtual currency are considered as VCEs na dapat mag register sa BSP at magcomply with anti-money laundering/terrorist financing law and regulations.
AMLCAng Anti-Money Laundering Council ay nag implement na nagsasabi na ang mga financial institution ay dapat iconsider ang pag manage ng money laundering risk na kasama na sa cryptocurrency.
AMLC also clarified that cryptocurrency and other digital assets are considered as property within the context of Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations.
SECNagpublish ang SEC ng draft rule para sa Digital Asset Exchange. The proposed rules also include capital requirements, annual limitation on purchase of digital assets, and prohibitions on insider trading and market manipulation which are also consistent with the provisions of the SRC.
November 2019, nag issue ang SEC ng Memorandum Circular No. 22. Inadopt ng SEC ang PIC para sa implications ng cryptoasset sa accounting.

According to PIC, cryptoasset can be classified in a business as an inventory (PAS 2) or an intangible asset (PAS 38)
Also in 2019, a bill for cryptocurrency "Digital Assets Act of 2019" was also proposed in the congress. We can look forward that the bill will be filed in Congress between 2020 and 2021.
