Unplug Leger, close app, try again selecting Ledger Wallet Ethereum, select Bitcoin on Ledger. The computer beeps upon successful PIN, but the app does absolutely nothing.
This is where you are going wrong... You need to make sure that the "coin" you select on the Ledger device matches with the wallet you are wanting to actually open!
So, if you want to access Bitcoin:
- use the Chrome App: "Ledger Wallet
Bitcoin"
- select the "coin" on Ledger device: "
Bitcoin"
If you want to access Bitcoin Cash:
- use the Chrome App: "Ledger Wallet
Bitcoin"
- select the "coin" on Ledger device: "
Bitcoin Cash"
If you want to access Litecoin:
- use the Chrome App: "Ledger Wallet
Bitcoin"
- select the "coin" on Ledger device: "
Litecoin"
If you want to access Dogecoin:
- use the Chrome App: "Ledger Wallet
Bitcoin"
- select the "coin" on Ledger device: "
Dogecoin"
If you want to access Dash:
- use the Chrome App: "Ledger Wallet
Bitcoin"
- select the "coin" on Ledger device: "
Dash"
If you want to access Ethereum:
- use the Chrome App: "Ledger Wallet
Ethereum"
- select the "coin" on the Ledger device: "
Ethereum"
Notes:- All the "Bitcoin-like" cryptocurrencies like BTC, BCH, LTC, DOGE etc... ALL use the (very poorly named) "Ledger Wallet Bitcoin" Chrome App.
- Ethereum (and ETC) use "Ledger Wallet Ethereum" Chrome App:
- If you cannot see the "coin" that you want on the Ledger device, you need to use "Ledger Manager" Chrome App to add the coins you want:
I can get BTC and ETH but no Litecoin.
Leveraging off the OP:
Start Chrome -> Apps -> Ledger Wallet Bitcoin
Correct so far...
Enter PIN on Ledger
At this point, you MUST select "Litecoin" on the Ledger device:
As noted, if you don't have "Litecoin" as an option, then you need to use "Ledger Manager" Chrome App.
