Myceleum seems popular, but it has centralized validation, this means you have to trust a third party(Myceleum) not to take advantage of your payments, it has proven itself trustworthy, but that is something to think about before installing and using a wallet.

He didn't mean the main wallet as Bitcoin Core for a PC, he meant a Bitcoin wallet for Android. The main or the first one, call it as you want.

Meh, that is what I'm using since I started. I call it as Schildbach's bitcoin wallet that is why I was kinda confused when he used the term main (late night poasting effect, I guess.)
Blockchain Android wallet is the best one for me. It's can work perfectly for me.
I prefer mycelium or ninkip2p (has a nice desktop app too). blocktrail has a nice app too by the way

Blockchain.info is definitely not a choice in both security and UI wise. There was a issue which affected the RNG on it, causing lots of BTC getting lost. It wasn't fixed for several months till it gained some attention. Arguably, other wallets are also as userfriendly as it is. Coinbase isnt bad too with no fees.
Coinbase is a shared wallet and you do not control any money unless you use multisig vault. They can still freeze your money.
If you have a big amount better to put it in a cold storage but with small transactions i still prefer the no fee option risking to loose few mBTC.

That should simply work.
Mycelium also supports working with single addresses. It's not the default mode because it is recommended to use new addresses for every transaction to make tracing of your transactions harder, but for some cases, receiving several payments on just one address is ok.
For example, the address in my profile is used to receive signature campaign payments, and I've added the corresponding private key to my Mycelium wallet so that I can access it when needed.

it's the reason why i've recommend, it, i always like the original not the modded one, no matter the feature, i prefer the one that has the more security and was the first to appear
and also like ti was said, mycellium is centralized, not something that is in the vibe of what bitcoin is

I personally use Mycelium wallet for my android, i like the interface, it's easy to use, the security features is nice too. and never have any problem with this wallet.
For personal uses, I use Bitcoin Wallet by Andreas Schildbach. It's been a great app for me for over a year now and so far it didn't gave me any problems. Functionality and security is a plus in that wallet, too.

Both have nice features such bar code scanner..
With coinbase you can transfer your whole balance without paying fees and you can use their vault too.
But i still prefer my 1st used one: blockchain.info in which i can adjust the fee i want, manage easily multiple addresses...
(tried for one day mycelium & wallet Android but personally didn't like both)
Ofc it depends with the money that you want to deposit there, if it is high then preferably you get to use a cold one.
I think that it is not harmless to check every Mobile wallet features, give a try for few of them... in order to find the best one for you.

It is harmless, as long as you remember you're actually working with a currency, and not "play" money... Don't put a lot of BTC on a mobile wallet, especially one that is not very trusted amongst the community

copay, mycellium, bitcoin "core" android , coinbase, xapo, mycellium ,airbitz, green address , blocktrail.
now i use only 2 wallet

Bitcoin wallet can look like core mostly due to its color scheme, it doesn't operate in the same way. Bitcoin wallet connects to different nodes to get information just like multibit and most spv clients. It is impossible to get the entire blockchain on it due to the fact that there is limited computing power and space.i dunno now, but it should be solid enough

As everyone said, just use Mycelium if you use Android or Bread Wallet if you use iOS

Mycelium Wallet is really a popular bitcoin wallet in Android. You can use it as a cold storage and also you have an option of signing your btc address there. You hold your private keys here and don't forget to backup it in case your phone got bricked and only formatting the phone's data is the only solution.

IMO Xapo will be good for you , additional security and Barcode scan for quick Address recognization , else you can google more wallets.
I will suggest Mycelium like what others have said. Also coinbase have an app also available on the appstore. He blockchain client is not really on my list becuase you will be needing a pc to access your wallet in it if wver you accidentaly lost access on it in your app.

You should also look at Andreas Schildbach's wallet (available from the app store) to compare features and characteristics.
On the spot I can't find docs on how it manages blockchain access (Mycelium uses dedicated servers for that) but you might have more time than me to look around...
