I am learning coin development and want a well designed and readable code base to study.  Many open source coin projects are poorly designed (from a software engineering standpoint) with code that is not 'self commenting'.

I want to make my own wallet for some coin as practice so easy to study wallet code would be nice.  It doesn't have to use the QT framework.

If you have patience and ready to sit for hours and read about crypto and blockchain, it is better for you to buy books on it. I am not so patient. I use channels on YouTube to learn everything about it. For instance, this source

@illiki23. Also try getting in contact with smooth. He is one of the best developers in the cryptospace and a lead developer of Monero and Aeon.

If there was a person who could answer all your questions about cryptcoin and blockchain development, he is your man.

Hail Eris!
edit ... not sure

thought you were asking something else to start with.

I am not qualified to give you a good answer.

I would suggest maybe ask david zimbeck he is a python coder too I believe so perhaps he knows a good solution for you.

Thanks.   Figured I would give it a shot here though my other posts haven't gotten any responses.  (is there a better forum to discuss altcoin development?)

It doesn't have to be Python or anything.  I can learn new languages.  (Rust and Go are on the list)

Right now it is like throwing a dice finding a decent well-engineered open source coin project and the odds are not stacked in my favor.

Might do a smart contract project.  Something simple like a piggy bank app.  I want to learn how the pieces go together to integrate smart contracts with other application components.
