Doesn't surprise me about Texas at all.  In fact it wouldn't even have surprised me if there had been 149 people exonerated in Texas alone.

I wonder which country has the most 'just' justice system. I sure as shit would not want to end up buried in the US system. I don't think I could let a wrongful imprisonment go. I'd probably go and earn a real sentence getting my revenge on those who did me over.

In criminal justice news, a record 149 people in the United States were exonerated last year. On average, the exonerated prisoners had spent 14 years behind bars for crimes they did not commit. Some had spent more than three decades. The majority of the exonerations occurred in Texas and New York.
