I reset my phone and now I want to recover my electrum wallet

I have the same exact problem.

I think he is talking about wallet.dat in electrum with windows OS

We can only guess what he thinks, but it is obvious that he asked his question in thread which is open regarding an phone ( Android version ) of Electrum, he say that he have exact problem. It's actually easy to locate Electrum folder in Windows OS, it is explained on Electrum help page - but for Android version it is not so simple.

I hope TalkBitcoinsCom may be a bit more precise so that we can be sure what is it exactly about, Windows OS or Android version of Electrum.

Open Electrum (Install it using the installation .exe that you have, if it isn't already installed)... then use the "File -> Open" menu option (or click the "Choose..." button if prompted to create a wallet)

This will show you where all the Electrum wallets are located. Open the wallet you want, then use "Wallet -> Seed", this will show you the seed mnemonic for the wallet... IF it has one (imported wallets including imported BIP39 wallets DO NOT store seeds in the wallet file).

would you (or anyone) know what the default wallet files get named?
default wallet name is: "default_wallet"

NOTE: Electrum does not use file extensions for wallets

The info is nowdays saved in "electrum_data" folder, anyone know other defaults it may have been from 2013 - 2015'ish?

Do you remember where you install Electrum on your phone, on internal memory or maybe SD card? If you hard reset your phone then you wipe that data, and since you have no seed it is difficult for you to hope to return your deleted data. Depending on the amount that was in that wallet you may consider advice from nc50lc and try some data recovery service.

Regarding daty directory, by some users it should be at : /data/data/org.electrum.electrum/files/data/wallets , but you need to have rooted phone in order to find it.

This must be a exact location C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Electrum\wallets
Note: if the username of your PC is not "admin" then change it with your own PC username so that you can directly find the electrum wallet folder.
If he is using a portable electrum then the files must be in the same folder.

Yes if you find the wallet file, you should be able to recover the wallet
would you (or anyone) know what the default wallet files get named?

I have the same exact problem.

HAVE: the wallet name, and Electrum password, and even have the same installation exe file.

DO NOT HAVE: the seed Sad

Any other ways? The data created from that Electrum should have been saved somewhere right? would there be a "wallet.dat" type file somewhere?

If you can contact a mobile phone expert or you are knowledgeable in mobile phone rom, try to recover your erased wallet file from that phone.
Any erased storage can be recovered by a specialized recovery tool, one must need expert knowledge in order to successfully recover a file using those tools.
If you got the password and didn't know the seed, the only way to access your btc again is to recover that wallet file.

I'm not using a mobile version of electrum myself, but try to look for the wallet file in your SD card (wallet_1 default name if you didn't changed it during creation).
AFAIK, Factory Reset on phone only delete files on Phone internal storage, it does not touch the SD Card
OP most likely had his Wallet file on Internal, which got wiped.

If I were you OP, I would try nc50lc's suggestion, get someone knowledgeable on file recovery to try recover your wiped wallet.
Until now, I would suggest to not use your phone or even better, turn it off completely. Your wallet file directory could be replaced any time with a new data that you've downloaded on your phone.

if you have the wallet installed already and the wallet file (default name is default_wallet) was created by you and you set that password you wrote down, then just
- open your electrum
- open the wallet if it is not already open and you have multiple wallets created
- enter your password if it is a full encryption, otherwise click on the menu: "Wallet" and choose "Seed" then enter your password.
now you can see and store your seed.

I'm sorry, but you can't.

what I DO NOT know: seed ( very long phrase which you must type when creating new wallet )
That's exactly what you need. Without the seed, there is nothing you can do.
