I still have the public addresses (actually I found 'em back in my signatures) and I have some lost bitcoin in them:
k00p4tr00p4: https://blockchain.info/address/1Hcyk3HL66MdDsbvzyVb3jx4UTr4tVzAW6
0k4m1: https://blockchain.info/address/1JFC7K4T3btTNJcyTBvUjK7SWYRjFGZGo3 (funny, someone deposited recently from 1Enjoy1C4bYBr3tN4sMKxvvJDqG8NkdR4Z, I don't know who is it, but please don't deposit anymore as I can't access this wallet anymore)
The HD that had wallet.dat has died (I used the standard BTC wallet that had to download all the transactions to work).
Any ideas?
If your HDD has died, do you still have it? If you bring it to a professional data recovery company, they might be able to extract it.
1Enjoy is just someone randomly sending dust amounts to a bunch of address. Consider yourself lucky :/
Hello, thanks for the answer!
I think I'll give up from trying to recover it for now, the small amount of BTC that is inside the wallet doesn't pay for the data recovery company service. Gonna keep the HDD though, maybe BTC will achieve like 1 billion dollars one day, so I may try to recover it.
