There are so many educational sites on the internet for crypto beginners. This is not a new idea, the content and templates are available for you to recreate and develop your own. What I think you need to focus on is making your own website more interesting than the others out there. Are you going to add video content to your guides? Reading can be boring and often times people fall asleep or lose interest if they are reading for too long especially when it’s a technical subject like Bitcoin. So you have to make your explanations in simple English.

My advice is to look into known predecessors and take inspiration to make it better and/or provide more.

On top off my head:

1. learnmeabitcoin.com
2. bitcoiner.guide
3. bitcoin.org
4. https://www.lopp.net/bitcoin-information.html (more like resources aggregator)

I saw someone suggest translating the resources to local languages and support this idea as we can reach more people with this. Perhaps what I can add is, providing different formats? aside from text, you could also do videos and audios 🤔

I am assisting someone in the creation of a bitcoin tutorial website.

What are some good qualities of known introductory bitcoin education? What are some bad qualities?
Some advantages of Bitcoin are that it is decentralized, a viable hedge against inflation, has low transaction fees, promotes privacy, and widely accepted currency. Some challenges are that is restricted in some countries, needs some level of knowledge to use and it has a volatile nature.

What are some musts and what are some things to avoid telling people?
Knowledge about wallets and security is compulsory. They should know about scams, phishing, and hacks. Never tell people that Bitcoin is a get-rich-quick scheme.

My goal is to help this person create another place that will result in the reader going from being clueless about bitcoin, to knowledgeable and most importantly, interested.
Bitcoin education is the pathway to adoption and when people have knowledge they will hardly be victims of scams. More grease to your elbow, OP.

Creating educational material for bitcoin. Advice?
As far as I know, a lot of curriculum/material about Bitcoin has been developed in schools at the moment, the internet has all the complete summaries for you to develop about Bitcoin, but it's very good if you have your own creative ideas for Bitcoin material, of course it's all from information that has been developed on the internet, for example: 11 Free Resources To Learn Bitcoin And Sharpen Your Knowledge.

And also several other sources that you can learn from.
educational materials on crypto and blockchain.

The point is: if you want to develop about Bitcoin, what you need to prioritize is:

There is already good content introducing Bitcoin on the Internet, so unless you want what you offer to be something specialized, you can recreate the existing videos in a more attractive way or translate them more professionally into local languages.
Specialized content requires a script and preparation, so as long as the message is for beginners, you do not need to write a specialized script.

1. You need to explain if Bitcoin is decentralized and only decentralized if they own the key, if they didn't own the key, stop saying Bitcoin is decentralized.

2. Debunking Bitcoin FUDs especially about misleading Bitcoin mining cause pollution and miselading Bitcoin is the biggest tool used for terrorism.

3. You need to explain if privacy is important, using centralized exchange or any sites that has a mandatory KYC rules kills your privacy.

My goal is to help this person create another place that will result in the reader going from being clueless about bitcoin, to knowledgeable and most importantly, interested.

I say "another place" because as bitcoin is software that is community driven, there are already several strong bitcoin education facilitators out there.

Thx ✨
Considering the fact that others have not spoken about this, I will start from here

One thing I can say that will make yours unique and will make others interested will be you guys creating your website in similar manner as w3schools were each chapters is somehow short and simplified and having challenges on every chapters ending and also providing help in passing such challenges, also give encouraging comments on each challenges passed just as how it is done in Solo learn platform, this will help in boosting their confidence.

Though the w3schools and Solo learn are not a bitcoin tutorial websites but you can implement same strategy to improve your websites and boost visitors interest in learning.

Also you can checkout this thread Need some ideas, which will helpful to your website

What are some good qualities of known introductory bitcoin education? What are some bad qualities?

Its depends on the target audience you're planning for, but its something you can use the reference to the material on mastering bitcoin for, i don't understand what you meant by bad qualities, or is it the disadvantages to bitcoin is what you're referring to.

What are some musts and what are some things to avoid telling people?

Concerning bitcoin, there is nothing to hide, everything is made available for the public if you know how the blockchain technology works, its a decentralized digital and open distributed ledger.

what you should not tell people is lies about what bitcoin is not.

I know resources such as knowledges, funds and energies will be solely invested to achieve this goal.
So I needed to ask if fees will be demanded for individuals who'd be interested to acquire bitcoin knowledges on this future online learning structures for bitcoin education because it feels false to say it'd would be a free educational project with those resources being invested.
While in doubt to say such platform would be exorbitant to extort interested individuals who may probably not have the funds to meet up with the demands, why not reference this bitcointalk platform to those interested people since you're opportuned to have learnt about the potentials of this platforms related to same goals of individuals learning about bitcoin.

Just a thought of though because I feels learning about bitcoin in anyways wouldn't be so interesting as learning from this platform.
While my mind can be suspicious to figure things maliciously, I also hope such craving projects to your online bitcoin learning sites wouldn't be a turn around of manipulations to misleading the uneducated bitcoin enthusiastics. But if genuine, it'd also contributes to more speculations of bitcoin as we may hope the best is always insighted as bitcoin may be concerned.

Well done on what you are trying to achieve.
What are some good qualities of known introductory bitcoin education?

What I look out for in an intro to bitcoin is how simplistic the language used is. I like it when technical languages give way to more simplistic and easy to understand English because your audience are beginners with no experience in bitcoin. I also like to look out for analogies that has real use cases of bitcoin in different countries and different spheres. You know how they say that a picture is worth a thousand words, the use of doodles, diagrams, info graphics helps me for better comprehension and to keep your audience engaged.

Quote
What are some bad qualities?
For bad qualities, do not make your intro to bitcoin overly long. I say 15 - 20 minutes if it is a video content and 1 or half a page per heading with lots of line breakers to relax the eyes.

Quote
What are some musts and what are some things to avoid telling people?
- How to acquire and how to safely store your bitcoin insecurity is a must.
- Avoid telling them that bitcoin will go to the moon. You want them to be curious and have a balanced view of bitcoin.
