Well, now that I have found "AMD Overdrive" in CCC I can follow your hint, too. Wink But I don't want to underclock if I now can just reduce the fan speed to a level where it isn't too annoying, but keeps the fully working GPU temperature at an acceptable level.

Thank you, I'm done.

why don't you just underclock? it's the same as reducing load, except there's no on-off-on-off-on cycle.

I use pcoblm for now. Thank you, I will try it.

I found out that I can adjust the fan speed manually in ATI Control Center, so it doesnt automatically use 100% when fully processing and make noises like a plane. There's also an option to watch the temperature, so I can find the perfect adjustment. Smiley

Depends. Are you using guiminer or pcoblm? If so, add -s0.01 to the tags. This will result in lower usage and hopefully lower temps.

Hi there,

is it possible to reduce the load of my GPU during mining?

My graphics card keeps vibrating during process (both with DiabloMiner and the Python miner). Doesn't sound very good and like in normal GPU intensive games. What's wrong?
(ATI Radeon 4890, Windows 7)

TIA
