Every project must use such tracking link (notice- it's tracking link). Also, referral link isn't directly disallowed here. There are exceptions and some cases where one can post referral link if I'm correct.
You are getting this one wrong. Project team owner must have a link through which they can check the performance. That's the link I have put in the ANN.
OH OK, now I really understand, thanks for coming on here to clarify.
Like I posted on the thread, I registered on the site, and discovered I signed up through a referral link when I saw a name on my profile as my referral (screenshot below).

I thought maybe it was you trying to get users to sign up with your link for some bonus, which I personally consider inappropriate and highly unprefessional, sorry I misjudged.

I found out that the op hid his referral link in the infographics, a simple click on the long infographics and checking the link on the bar proves this.
He is not exactly hiding his referral link with some other link shortener and you can clearly see it if you hover over image.
All managers are using images that contain clickable links, and he is not spamming anything so I don't see anything wrong here.
If I was moderator I wouldn't delete or change his post.

Is this process of sharing referral link allowed on this forum? Cus I could remember this is the same thing I did one time that got me temp banned for one week.
Referral links are allowed in signature and I think it is also allowed to be used below avatar space as a personal text, but you can't click on that link.

Referral link is only allowed in
  • Signature space
  • Use profile page
If a user put a referral link in a post, it is not allowed and will cause to account ban.

However, I see a point that a company need to have a tracking link to assess data and cost-benefit of their campaign. I am not sure but if that OP adds the link per request of the company for this purpose, it is acceptable or not.

I've seen it before, and I personally think it's okay, referral link is clearly written, with the additional notification that it is, and right next to the regular link, as an option for those who do not want to use the referral. Usually in some informative post.

It should be reported under no referral code (ref link) spam
Not every referral links is spam. In this case, I don't expect it to be deleted.

4. No referral code (ref link) spam. [1]
The keyword is "spam".

He was hired by the owner to make that post
That happens a lot, even though they can easily get Copper Membership and post it by themselves, they hope to look more legitimate by having someone else post it.

Website like Duelbits use a tracking link https://duelbits.com/?a=duelbit to track the clicks on their website.
I think this is a referral link. It’s something like a referral link of user duelbit on their site.
The link I have posted is- https://jumboticket.com/refer/offer/xxxxxxxx
Which says offer
It's clearly an offer. Also, I'm not abusing this. Once again, as I said above, there are exceptions of referral link posting in bitcointalk. Thank you for notifying this but I think this is not what the forum rules referring to. This is an example of the exception.
Also, you can see that official representative of the site is responding to the questions. So, there's nothing to prove here either.

Website like Duelbits use a tracking link https://duelbits.com/?a=duelbit to track the clicks on their website. I believe the OP pointed out that you are using a regular referral link which is not allowed in the forum unless you have proof that the team really use this link to track the clicks coming from the forum. This is your only choice to prove that you are not using your personal referral link. Some Casino ANN thread really uses same referral link as your but the difference was the account posting there ANN thread is the official Bitcointalk account of the casino there's no issue with that.

I hope you will justify this before the thread was removed by the mods since some user probably report the thread to moderator.

Project team owner must have a link through which they can check the performance. That's the link I have put in the ANN.

The thing is that if the link contains "ref" or "refer" it can easily seen as ref link.
On the other hand, while the affiliate links should contain words like "ref", "refer", "affiliate", the links like the one you've posted should go on a different route (like, for example, "tag" or "tracking").

This is how I see the things. Of course, I can easily guess that most don't do this.

In Search of Incredible
The OP (Little Mouse) is hired by the owner of the site to promote their platform. He is working as a middleman here. And it is common thing to see affiliate link under the infographics in a gambling site announcement thread. The owner of the site has said this in that topic

The first screenshot you shared is of our official website. The second screenshot is of the promotional $50 bonus welcome offer exclusive for bitcointalk members.
Registering with the offer link gives to $50 credits using which you can purchase tickets and participate in our Jackpots. Hope this clarifies your doubt.

It means, the owner of the site has created the exclusive referral link for the bitcointalk forum members. You will receive some free balance if you create an account through the referral link of the announcement thread.

Probably it isn't forbidden to use referral link under the infographics/hyperlink in the announcement thread if the OP is owner or hired by the owner of the site. 1miau has made an explanation about this

There are some exceptions, where reflinks could be tolerated like if you are including it in a very informative reply / description which adds value, a site owner who wants to track traffic coming from Bitcointalk or similar where it's very clear that it's no ref-spam.

However, spamming with referral link is against the forum rules. But you will find referral link under the infographics in most of the announcement thread in gambling section. Here are some popular and reputable crypto casino with referral link in the announcement thread

Most do that. Some take out numbers and replace them with a site name (ie refer/bitcointalk4) but I doubt that's a requirement.
They can just use the "utm_source" if they need referrer when visiting or accessing the site.

I have checked the board and i just see lots of gambling ann threads do the same like this, i wonder how mods will do about this if rules is absolute since some of the users have been banned for several days, or years, worst permanent due to this.

Sometimes links look like referral links but are used to determine where traffic is coming from by a site owner (which is what this could actually be).
The link has "refer" word to it and It redirect to a sign up page, so its a referral link obviously

He was hired by the owner to make that post, I don't see any problem here.

It should be reported under no referral code (ref link) spam, regardless who posted it it's against the rules, unless mods tolerate such thing.

The only allowed reference links are in the signature if  I remember correctly. The rest could be reported.
As jackg said its possible to be a just a source of the click reference.
Just report it and let the moda decide whether it's breaking the rules or not.

https://bit.ly/387FXHi lightning theory
It's not unless op is the owner of the site or the post has been agreed with/come from them afaik (this is just how I've seen the policy be enforced in the past).
