The name is japanese but the way he writes indicates that he was either brought up in a western english speaking country, or was actually a native from an english speaking country.
I think all the leading suspects are male, FWIW.

I'm still trying to find out about the identity of the creator Bitcoin.
And I stumbled for a moment
Absolutely no one thought that this could be a woman!
I'm not strong in Chinese and Japanese, but the name Satoshi can be female.
I have two more ideas, who it was and after so many years, I'm more and more convinced of the truth.
But I will not write until I am 100% sure!
And if it turns out to be true, it will be a disaster
