I don't own foxpup.com; it belongs to one of the other Foxpups, specifically this one. There's like 4 or 5 of us around; we come in litters, don't you know. Cheesy

Nice name. Smiley It looks as if FoxyPup.com is available though.

I own FoxyTalk.com which I was going to use for a political chat site. The problem with that name is it seems to get flagged as porn, even when there is nothing on the site. I think I'll give up on it as a radio chat site, and I'll probably sell it to a pornographer. It's never had porn on it as far as I know, but I can't check it's current status as I'm in the library and they block it based on the name alone.

I stand corrected, it's resolving here, and it goes to a parking page  Maybe I'll start to use it, thanks for reminding me about the name. Smiley

Sounds like a pretty good way to compromise your anonymity on web.  I know you can hide your whois information but it still gives a headstart. People deal with bitcoin because it is somehow anonymous. (or semianonymous) Just stick with signed messages and make sure that someone quoted it.

Just because you can make pseudo-anonymous transactions with Bitcoin, it doesn't mean you have to. I don't hide from the world, and I don't mind people knowing who I am, and how to track me down. I guess I might have to start thinking about this though. I'm pretty outspoken about treasonous stupid people who opposed Brexit, and a few other political issues.

vod.org is available. It's only $40,250. Smiley

I think that if you can get a domain name for under $10 per year it's worth it. It helps to build your internet persona, and you can use it to boost your signature revenue if you are prepared to work it.

Yes, you can sell it with your account, but then you are selling a business, not just a board ID.

Registering your Bitcoin address here is an essential imho, but it is additional security.

It can be hard to find .com domain names these days. I find the name first, and then use it as a board persona.

I see there are several posts from people who have had namepros accounts compromised. Registering your Bitcoin address here is an obvious sensible precaution. I think it is also worth registering the domain name related to your sobriquet as well. For example, I own JetCash.com. If anyone needs to verify my identity, they can use the domain name as well as the services offered by NamePros.

Not a solution.
I can simply sell my domain while selling my account and the new owner with access to my domain will prove himself as the legit owner of the bitcointalk account.Same goes with signed messages. That is something you can't help.
I believe he was more referring to if a user's account gets hacked, rather than sold.
I'm not sure how this helps much though. As per the issue with Vod, some people with popular names can't register a domain with their username as it is already taken. Signing a Bitcoin address is free and arguably gets the job done better.

I can't own Vod.com.  Sad

While we all know I am a Virtual god, the majority of people outside this forum view that as an acronym for "Video on Demand".   Embarrassed
Yes and even if I may own btvgainer.com ( didn't check its availability) what if someone registered btvgainer.net or .org and claim my username here as his own?
