The story of how I became head admin is actually pretty boring. Moderators were needed, so I was made a global moderator. Then admins were needed, so I was made an admin. Then over time the other admins slowly lost interest and resigned until I was the only one left. I guess most of the people who were around here to see this have more-or-less left the community now. That's a bit sad.

It's not entirely clear, but for simplicity I usually say that I became head admin at the beginning of 2011, a little over a year after the forum was created.

The forum was originally located at bitcoin.org/smf, then forum.bitcoin.org (hence the redirect), and finally bitcointalk.org. Fun fact: The name "bitcointalk" was invented by Jeff Garzik, and he's the one who bought the domain.

So based on the quotes above (first by Sirius), It's safe to say that there is pretty much no relation between them and they never met face to face.

Or maybe they don't give much publicity to their relation. People who are near, are (or were) in touch or know Satoshi could be in danger, so for them, it's better to be discreet about it. It's only speculation from my side, but I can fantasize more than just what these quotes say.  Smiley

Well, it might be considered as a newbie question. I know. Sounds like it to me too, lol!

So just for fun, me and my bro sometimes talk about anything that involves btc, like general info and other stuff with btc in it. Then we came upon the topic about Sirius and theymos (we all know who they are and their roles here in the forum) and came up with a question. "Do they know Satoshi Nakamoto? Like on a personal or professional level. Are they buddies?"
If you want to share your thoughts feel free to do so. Cheesy
