Binance.com is not available to US due to SEC. Binance.us is not working as far as I can tell. Can't even sign up. IF it's in fact inferior, VPN to binance.com? Or any other suggestions?

I'm a firefox user and it worked fine on my end -- used a US IP on my test.

If I have to guess, perhaps it has to do with your state? Lemme quote it in case it doesn't load properly for you lol

Unfortunately, Binance.US services are currently NOT available to customers who reside in the following states/regions:

    Alaska
    American Samoa
    Hawaii
    Maine
    New York
    Northern Mariana Islands
    Texas
    U.S. Virgin Islands
    Vermont

New user onboarding is temporarily paused in the following states/regions. Existing customers who reside in these states/regions may continue to use Binance.US:

    Connecticut
    Florida
    Georgia
    North Carolina
    Ohio
    Oregon
    Minnesota
    Washington

Otherwise, it could be your browser extension/s? try disabling them if any.

Unfortunately, VPN won't work on binance.COM because identity verification is mandatory. I'm not from US so IDK a better alternative but def check out the big players (coinbase, kraken, gemini). TBH, US residents don't have many choices thanks to SEC.

There are many good exchanges on the market; in fact, just shop around and base yourself on the top exchange platforms. This is the link for you to shop, but it is better to choose the top 30 that you will do trading activity with, if ever.

Now for those who will exceed the top 30, it's up to you if you are willing to take a risk on the exchanges you will enter, and it is also better because, of course, you also do your own research to find out if they are legit and have a have a good reputation.
Top 30 seems like a lot, most of those are not good at all and there is no need to trust it like that. I feel like the best we can do would be just making sure that we handle with just some top names. I do agree that crypto.com is a big name, and I do agree that coinbase and binance are big and that is about it for me.

I prefer to use binance for everything because the yare by far the biggest. Imagine getting 4 billion dollar fine from USA and then your CEO and founder is forced to retire and you are still the biggest. How many exchanges could even do that? Binance is by far the only exchange that can do both of these and still stay at the top which is why I believe that it is a lot smarter to keep it this way, there isn't really anything we can do to make it better.

Well currently there are countless of exchange in the markef, many new exchanges are emerging because they are seeing the potential of this kind of business, in fact many new exhcnages are doing a project meaning like an airdrop to those who will use their platform early and it is one of a good way to attract potential customers, so you just need to find one, you coulddo a search in internet and search for the top exchange platform out there, I suggest that yeah you also participate in a project created by an exchange for a chance to have a good profit by their rewards or airdrop,, but of course do be careful because you might stumble to a scam exchange, you need to do assessment first before using an exchange, you need to do it for yourself because no one could help you if you mistakenly use a scam exchange.

Besides crypto.com, does anyone have any recommendations on which is a good exchange?
I don't think crypto.com allows sign up on website without downloading their app. I don't trust my phone, their app on the phone or their 2FA authentication, which is still on the phone.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

I have a feeling you were talking about binance.com (global) 🤔

OP later revelead, they were from US so the .com is out of the question. They have to use the binance.US which can be very different from the global binance.COM we're used to in terms of products offered, volume, etc. -- the binance.US is inferior.
Its difference between Binance US and Binance global, currently the OP located not allowed for using Binance global and only has access trading in cryptocurrency using by Binance US based on their goverment regulation about exchange or cryptocurrency.
I saw respond above have clearly describe with how much fees when trading with Binance US and I am not citizen of United State not understand well with fees trading there.
So far Binance global has lower fees for transaction and still remember before BUSD pair delisting we can trade there without paying fees transaction for limit order between buy or sell. But right now have replacing by using FUSD pair and not have to pay fees but most coins with this pair get very small transaction volume than USDT pair.

I'm planning to just trade in BTC and possibly some ETH. No interests in other altcoins.

I have been trying Binance.us but, the sign up is always on Waiting ... status. Not sure if it's my browser - using Firefox. Will try other browsers but kinda lose of confidence.

Can you explain by low fees what you really mean? Like Bitcoin network or the others alt coin network?
Because you will find different withdrawal fees on different network like if you choose the cex binance or Ku-coin then or whatever cex you choose bitcoin transactions i.e. withdrawal fee will be high against the usdt, trx , ltc bsc. I have using these cex from a long time and in case of internal transactions we don't have to go though with the fees. Anyway these are most reliable also in current time.
I think he tries looking for exchange lower fees including for withdrawing and trading fees, usually Binance still has lower fees when transaction using pair FUSD but most of coins has lower transaction volume than using pair USDT. I think all exchange have the same fees for trading right now just get small percentage difference and for withdrawing we can convert by using some altcoin with lower fees withdrawing cost such as TRX or LTC.
I am waiting with OP respond about exchange with lower fees for withdrawing or trading, I think all exchange support for website without have to use mobile phone application if aware with get malware on mobile phone.
Currently I use Binance as main market for trading but withdrawing to my local exchange if free because Binance have been partner for my exchange local, just spending fees for trading only.

I believe Bobrox hit the nail on the head; looking for overall, exchange lower fees including for withdrawing and trading fees

This is preferred by many unfortunately, this is no longer available in our country due to the ban of SEC and failure of Binance to comply with the regulations.
I will still recommend using this because aside from being phone friendly and lower at fees, they offer a lot of services where you can maximize and have a great crypto trading experience, Binance is indeed the top exchange no doubt.

What a strict crypto exchange are they if it's true that they don't allow web sign-ups and it's going to be a loss of a lot of customers for them because like you, not all are going to install their app only to register and use them.

Some people only have their own reasons like they don't use a smartphone, they find it time-consuming, etc.... and besides there are still plenty of crypto exchanges out there that might be twice, thrice, and so on....  better than them. For it, you can just refer on other users' recommendation on this thread because I'm sure many of them already gave out what I am still going to recommend. Good Luck to you OP. May you have a safe and profitable trades Smiley.

It's true. I contacted the support and had a long discussion right before the AT&T and others cellphone network went down. Wished I had spoken to them after - could have point out what then? Support was ridiculous saying security. I have lose my phone before as well as totally forgot my passcode and totally locked my phone. I'm definitely not using all smartphone app trading platform.

Thanks again all

There are a lot of exchanges but not sure about the difference between the fees. Check the fees per exchange but the new exchanges that I have registered are the following:
  • MEXC
  • Blofin

Just to be clear, I'm not affiliated with any of them but they have that good pairs to trade with.

I do experience taking alot of hassle while using crypto.com you need to make a lot of transfers with your asset and use of the app every time, I like their security but being convenient is not good for using their platform. Currently, I'm using the binance, bybit and mexc. Unfortunately, bybit and mexc don't support yet the use of the segwit address when making deposit, again this still depends on your location might the exchange given are not supported in your country.

I'm using Binance so far,
Check more top exchanges that are available in your country here:
https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/

But because OP is from the US, how's about this one?
https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/
or others like: Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini or others? Are they available there?
https://koinly.io/blog/best-crypto-exchange-usa/

You can compare each other related to the availability in your country, the fees, and other considerations of choosing the exchange fit to your expectation. But, ensure that it is the right one, not the unclear exchange.

Sounds like most like Binance. I will check Binance.us. Again, appreciate all your replies.

Pretty sure most folks were talking about binance.com which should have some key differences from binance.us because regulations are much more stricter in the said country.

Try to also check kraken and coinbase' advanced trade. I think in the US market, binance.us still falls behind these two + they're only accepting US folks so I don't expect a better liquidity if that's smth you're after.

Definitely Binance, that is a good choice and I do not think that we are going to change anything at all. We are certain that we are not going to get anything better than that, a lot of people said the same name for a reason. Don't get me wrong, if you are American then Coinbase is not that bad, it is something that could be alternative to bitcoin, and crypto.com is trying their very best to get more and more famous, those three are the leaders in their field, not by just exchange but legality as well.

However, Binance is far ahead of those two as well and the best one, there is really nothing that could change that result at all, we should be considering how we could get better with time, because Binance will not stay still and will only get better.

As same as Binance global, you can enjoy cheaper trading fee if you use BNB to pay for fee.

OP, if you want real reliability then use BitStamp. It's old, but it works. If you you're going to do some shitcoining, then probably Kraken? Although their list of shitcoins is very limited compared to the Asian exchanges that were already suggested in the topic. But merely for reliability - BitStamp and Kraken.

If you want to know exchange that is considerable with customers in term of anything related users, go with Binance. The fees are low in the sens that the fees for trading is low and if you are bigger trader I will advice you to buy and hold some portion of their BNB, you will get slash with trading fees. You might think this fees are nothing but they are very big when you add them together.

They also don't charge for any deposit fees, we have some exchanges that charges customer for deposit and the withdrawal fees are very minimal compare with the rest of the exchanges. They also have this minimum deposit to bearest. I have deposit $15 worth of Bitcoin on one particular exchange one time and i was shock that I never got my deposit because I didn't meet the minimum repost, I think Binance has something like 0.00005btc as minimum deposit.

What I have understood from your thread is that you want exchanges that have a lower rate than market rate if that's what you're looking for, you should stop right there because you will be scammed in search of this. The exchanges like Binance, Coinbase and kraken are good ones but they are not much lower than the market rates

What they provide to your assets is security and reliability. An exchange that'll offer lower fees will compromise on your security and that's not what you would want for sure so try to be more professional while choosing one.

As a rule, the amount of the commission depends on your trade turnover. And the higher your trade turnover, the lower the commission fees will be set for you. In addition, many exchanges have their own exchange token, using which you will also pay a reduced commission.

I do not know the experience you had using several exchanges and ended up with crypto.com. In my opinion binance is the best so far. But first  you need to know what you are looking for and you mentioned reliable and low fees. For now, it is only binance, kucoin and mexc i can vouch for reliability with low fees in the individual networks.

I have tried some tier 2 exchanges and the fees are high. Which means that you can use tier exchanges because it is more reliable than other tiers.

Binance and Kucoin are the best if you directly ask me to name the exchanges. Both have been in the business for many years and many regular traders use it all time. Moreover I would ask OP to not run behind low fees and risk the security of the wallet in the exchange. It’s better to pay high fees and remain secure than paying low fees without any security. So i would suggest you to move to Binance atleast.

If I am to recommend you to any exchange.I will say you should try Binance, Binance is one of the most popular exchange and I don’t think the fees is much it is low as what you can be able to afford, and it is very trust worthy whatever verification you are required to do in Binance, you are supposed to do it the security of Binance is very tight you have to do some much verification to make sure your account is secured, then I can also say Bybit which someone has already mentioned to you bybit fees is not high. It’s also something that you can be able to afford, because I am sure of the both you can try them and see how it goes.

Not in love with Binance but they're actually the closest to being the best at being fast and cheap. Even with all the bad stuff going on they're the most reliable in my opinion.

Just my advice however, do full KYC first before you even think to deposit.

Don't like KYC, then you won't find a reliable exchange.

If you care about fees (taker, maker, withdrawal fee), you can check with two websites
https://withdrawalfees.com/
https://www.cryptowisser.com/exchanges/

And check more with Coinmarketcap, Coingecko for exchange reputation (trust score, reputation score).

Then make your decision.

Binance, Bybit are good choices if you want to use CEX.

My favorite are binance, kraken, kucoin and bitfinex.
Biance, kucoin and bitfinex offers fee discounts for their native token holders (BNB, KCS, LEO)
In addition bitfinex offers 0 fees withdrawal on coins like ATOM, DOT, ALGO...

If so, why don't you try using Binance? I don't know what country you're in, but you should be able to use it with a VPN from your browser if needed. So far I have used this exchange and have not encountered any problems while using it and I feel that the fees they offer are quite affordable and reasonable. Why not try Bybit or Binance?

This — not sure if there's an exchange with lower fees, but Binance and Bybit's trading fees are low enough. And if you're going to go for exchanges with lower fees, you're going to get into low liquidity(which will get you worse bang-for-your-buck trades despite lower fees) and borderline scam exchange territory.
The last time I know about these exchanges comparison, OKX has slightly lower withdrawal fee. The trading fee are almost the same as Binance and Bybit. I am not using the exchange because the mobile app is frustrating and I trade mostly on the mobile app. It is the exchange that can generate you many bitcoin addresses. I have Binance and Bybit also and they are good but in fee I see OKX has lower fee and it has high trading volume.

What do you mean by that? As in lower prices and not the market price?

That the orderbooks will be far thinner with lesser-used exchanges hence you're likely going to get bad prices(both on the buy and sell side). Imagine you being in a supermarket filled with vendors(hence competitive prices) versus being in a supermarket with just a few(hence more controlled prices) vendors.

It is advisable for you to describe purpose behind seeking low fees of exchange. Starting from low fees when purchasing using a card, conducting transactions in the spot trading section, until low fees on a withdrawal transaction. It should be emphasized that purpose of choosing an exchange is not only based on low fees but also on the credibility of exchange platform itself.

Seems like this articel could help you as reference : https://altcoininvestor.com/11-cheapest-crypto-exchanges/
