If anyone is interested, I've thrown together an automated build website for bitcoin at http://bitcanuck.ca/builds/. It might appeal to people who want unstable features but can't be bothered to install git, pull, and compile. I've only figured out how to do bitcoind for linux automatically, however.
If you do try it, please post how it works out for you, or if I need to add any instructions to the page about dependencies.
