If you have a computer at each location on the same network as the miners chrome remote desktop app is a cheap solution. Not sure how secure it is but would work just fine.

disagree
opening ports for 5 minutes will do nothing
actually you need not more than 60 seconds to change pool
and if someone will hack into your asic you can get to the site and reset it
the chances are way to small

You can disagree but you are wrong and should not state this publicly, just in case someone believes you. You can find many instances of hacking on here where people were not able to recover their controller.

firsts of all tell us about your internet connection settings, do you have access to routers and can you manage the ports?
If you do have access and can manage the ports but the IPs are dynamic then you should use DDNS
If you can access the routers and IPs are static than you can set super strong passwords to miners and open ports for them
If you have a chance to set up a VPN connection on all sites that would be the best scenario, you can then log in to the site you want to change the pools/configure and do the job from anywhere
If you don't have access to router, then you can put a cheap host computer there (switch form bios AC power lost to ON) and use teamviewer to get in that network and manage miners
I guess this is all for now

Many thanks for your comprehensive reply  Smiley

I have full access and there is a computer at each site, all the miners in all sites are in the cellar and are linked into a ethernet switch which then goes directly into the router, so I guess my best way here would be to use a VPN all though I would have to figure out how I can login to the sites router from my home PC

Thanks
TT

opening ports to the miners from the public internet for any reason for any amount of time is just about the stupidest thing you could do. You can setup an RPi VPN in 10 minutes and be completely protected. Dont be lazy, do it right and you will be safe and secure.

I believe that is incorrect.  Yes, setting a strong password would slow down web access to the miners, but the API would be broken into within minutes since the API userid/password are hard coded in the firmware.

agree
but with access to router and static IP you can open and close ports upon your needs
so there is no need to left them open all the time

You could setup a simple VPN using a raspberry pi at each pub which would allow you to remote into the network, open the web console and change the details. (but this is a lot of effort)

If you used a DDNS setup, then no matter if the global IP of that network changed, you could still connect to each network.

You're other (and better) option is to connect each of the miners to your home network using a VPN, which would then allow you to use applications like multiminer or just a web browser to access them. I don't know how latency and broadband speeds would effect this however.

You're router may be able to host a DDNS VPN making the 2nd way quite easy. My ASUS-DSLAC68U is currently setup to do this, and i use it to check up on my miners controlled using Minera on a rasperry pi.

Have you looked into awesome miner

I don't have your problem, but I think it would be a good fit for you.

Not sure but I get the impression you may also be referring to GPU mining, if so HIVEOS was good for having a web interface that allowed switching.  If this is the case you should move the topic to altcoins, if not disregard this part of the reply.

I own several Pubs in the UK and all have cellars with inbuilt cooling which is perfect for my antminers.

So i have 11 miners split between three pubs.

The issue I have is when I want to change pools, or mined coins I need to visit each pub to change the miners via each network.

I did start using mining rig rentals for this as I could specify their details and then specify my fall over pool on their website which would then alter where the miners would point.

I have dedicated servers and I guess there is some sort of software out there that would allow me to log into a web page, server etc, and alter my miners.

I see lots of monitor software but none I can actually change things with

I hope some one understands this gabble and can indeed help

Many Thanks
TT
