We bought our son a remote control car from https://kidsvip.ca/ for his birthday last week. Was around $500 I think. We did not want a cheap nasty one.
Our son is extremey happy with the car:)

I also have a Syma x5c drone, It was bought 2 years ago and I've played with her in the past but now it's in her box. I have not played with her for some time.
I think I'm going to get it out again to do a few videos at fireworks from the sky.

One of the Xmas gifts I am getting is a Quad Copter w/camera. It is a X5Sw-V3 by Syma. I don't know anything about them, but this looks like tons of fun. It also has a camera. When Fed-x delivered it I accidentally opened the box before my wife could stop me. So I am looking forward to playing with it.

Probably nearly 10 years ago now (wow time flies!) my gf at the time bought me a Traxxas TMax nitro RC car. Its been years since I ran it, the last thing I was trying to do was to mount two motors on it and run them together but never finished the project. Just last evening I was talking with my grandpa and he mentioned it. I might have to break it out this spring, finish it and run it!
Id also like to play with a drone - I had an Rc airplane as a kid but it only lasted about 3 flights before it was destroyed lol

I recently have been enjoying playing with a few RC items. First I tried the x52 drone for fun. Then recently am using a nitro RC car for fun.
