Nobody is using MtGox these days, the price is $5-$10 higher than the real BTC price.
It is too optimistic to have such a high price in MultiBit, it makes you think you are richer than normal

I agree that Gox shouldn't be the default price, but

Also there are some people who want to know how far out of sync Gox is. Knowing how much of a premium #Goxfail is might be useful.
