Hi is anyone experiencing this? I am actually quite frightened after being a victim from Mt. Gox

This is why I don't store funds in exchanges (or any online service anymore)!!

I keep some in poloniex. but I believe they will come back. This has happened before and it is still safe Smiley

yeah this has happened before too, but them coming back doesn't mean it is safe to keep your funds on an exchange site, all those people who lost their money on Mt.Gox was thinking the same way as you are thinking right now.

we need to worry, especially if they are victims of mt.gox, I think it would be concerned when a situation like this. but I still recommend not to keep too much on trading sites

Scary moment for everyone! This would completely wreck my trust in all the crypto industry for good! Been withrawing from a lot of untrusty exchanges and have been putting all my coins in Polo... If they collapse I'm broke

Just don't store your all coins on exchange wallet. Use exchange site for trade only. We don't know when the site turn to Mt.goxx or not.

If you been a victim, then you would know there are lessons that will repeat itself.

No exchange in my view is legit, unless they been around for a long time. See if they been around longer then 2 years of service and change your approach on buying bitcoins.

The site may be down due to minor issues of things, but if youre not learning from other peopls experiences youre just in the same position as you started back in mt.gox.

Yeah poloniex is down just like the same yobit but yobit right now is ok you can check and log in right now also maybe poloniex is running again.. better to check it now..

Neither site is down for me and both are running. It is very unlikely polo will do anything stupid they are a legit exchange. Yobit? Well do I even need to make a comment on them lol

Checking out decentralised exchanges now
I have also searched for decentralized exchange platform and found bitsquare but still quite confused about how trading works in that.

Every time an exchange goes down I listen to this and it makes me feel better:)

No one will be like mtgox! They were one of a kind! They knew how to make people trust them, and after what they did I doubt anyone still has faith to keep 500BTC on an exchange !

What a relief heh..  Grin

Not really, if they do come back I am gonna withdraw instantly. These are not good signs.

I think the problem is not that serious. But I would not blame you if you want to withdraw your coins. A good exchange should never ever go offline like that. With the money they are making they should invest in back up servers.

The server only went down, they will be back up as soon as possible, it will not end like mt gox.
Also yobit is down, but that will be another story I believe, it is very much possible that they goxxed.
