Site isn't working for me either, getting the same Error 522 as described by Kakmakr, I guess an image sharing platform would need quite a powerful server to stay up.

Do you have a system to detect copyrighted material, or reposts? I imagine your platform could turn into spam paradise if it's not managed properly.

People are only going to come there if there is a genuine community and original content, otherwise they would just stick to imgur....

It would be nice if you could link the down votes to a automatic deletion feature, that way undesirable content gets deleted automatically, if the community does not like it. It will also create less work for moderators to police content that are in bad taste or even illegal content like child pornography.  Wink

The site gave me some "Error 522" - connection timed out errors at first, but I think it was a problem with my link, I rebooted the computer and router and everything was fine.

I think the Copy righted material issue is of no concern to you, because you are not providing it for payment. If someone want to reward someone for posting something nice, it is not for payment for that content.   Smiley

I think it would be hard to earn a Bitcoin from creating memes since most of the people will just enjoy it and won't bother sending you a tip for it wherein they can enjoy it without sending any money or tips.
Perhaps having an option to allow users to offer some of their photos in a subscription-based style might do the trick.

Yes, I am actually working on something similar to OnlyFans/Patreon where you first have to unlock content to see it. I will update the thread once it's ready.

The rules are on the upload page which you can see when logged in, I might create a seperate page for that soon where you don't need to be logged in.
I saw it [great set of rules btw] but didn't have "NSFP" filter after registering:

You have to manually click on the NSFW filter which even says that it's NSFW, I guess thats warning enough..? Not sure though.
I don't think that counts as a warning Wink

Just a 2 second portion of a movie. Not a full movie of 2 hour film, I doubt i can turn that into gif. Definitely modified with url watermarks which my website?
You can find a free online video to GIF generator/converter on google [there's a lot] quite easily...

I though I will be posting memes and I will earn Bitcoin right but people will have to like my image and send me a tip before I earn, but it's good that we have something like this in our community, have bookmarked and will try this together with IMGUR.
It's better to add anonymous donation I check the gift link but i have to be logged in to donate.

But I do like the idea that you are adopting memes and cryptocurrency.

First of all idea is really good, anything else what you did - sorry, but bad.
I have some suggestions for you:
As I see you were trying to make something similar of imgur but failed, but again, don't be shy and really make something similar of them with features and etc cause it really suits your needs. Not alone website but you need meme generator application for smartphones too for users to be able to create and share memes in your network and make things comfortable. For example check this app: Meme Generator Free by zombodroid
Not only lighting network but also you can integrate something similar of faucethub, since they discontinued their service, luckily I remember another team decided to launch something similar of them and here it is: Microwallet.co
Then to my mind it would be better to buy famous facebook meme pages and move whole meme community on your website, it depends on your current wealth and how much you can afford for this project.
Also if you would let people to have some dedicated fanbases it may be good, for example memes only related to Ricardo Milos and etc Cheesy

So no editing/parody/whatsoever? Are you going to upload it so that others can use your clip to create memes?

I'm not sure about the fair use scenario on this one. Someone might say that you use the 2 clips to get money and don't follow the fair-use principle.

Will try this, been a fan of memes before until now and I think this is a good idea to post some of my memes and at the same time I'll be able to earn. A request would you able to do it like in reddit or 9gag where it's like on 1 page and where just gonna scroll it 1 by 1 instead of having a mass images when you open it and soon would you able to create an application for phone?

People can only tip, no guarantee of earnings really. I'm however entertained reading and creating memes too.

I'd like to ask about the part of the movie that were turned gif, would this be possible to be uploaded?  I have once tried creating such which is from a series in AMC, yes its from them. But would Imgord accept it?

I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly, do you mean uploading a movie which you converted to a gif? If the content is original (aka. you modified it so it has no copyright anymore) it is allowed. Otherwise it will be removed. Uploading a whole movie is generally not accepted though.

You might wanna make it clear to put the rules where people who are not logged can also see it. They'd be disappointed to know what they wanna upload is actually not allwoed.

As long as posts comply with the rules it's fine.
You might want to create a page with the set of rules first Wink

Any feedback is greatly appreciated and I will try to integrate any wanted feature.
Suggestions:

  • It would be nice to have a warning for NSFW section.
  • Increase its loading speed.
  • A report button.

I like how it allows us to up/downvote each tag separately...
- Has potential.

The rules are on the upload page which you can see when logged in, I might create a seperate page for that soon where you don't need to be logged in.

You have to manually click on the NSFW filter which even says that it's NSFW, I guess thats warning enough..? Not sure though.

I'm actually creating a report function for posts and comments right now!

Thanks for your feedback.

What's your take on recycled content a.k.a stolen memes? Although I'm seeing that majority of your memes are original content I'm already seeing some from social media pages as well as in 9gag so is this allowable in your site and are they getting paid for stolen content as well? Overall the site looks good but it lacks categories and some memes can be offensive for some people (like this one) so you need to have some kind of categories and labels where people can easily filter what content they want to see.

P.S.
The content on your NSFW section cannot be considered as memes, they are just really a NSFW image sharing section for horny guys, you should also screen/filter that out.

First of all thanks for your reply!

Categories are called "subs" on Imgord. People can tag their posts with subs so you as a reader can filter for specific content.
Tips are sent by people - and would you tip someone for reposting a stolen meme? I guess not. Genereally people can tip for whatever reason, but I think majority of people will tip for original content (as it should be).
Reposting images/videos from other platforms is allowed (you should link the source in the comment section though).
Same goes for the NSFW section, posts there can also be original content and people like to tip OC NSFW content. As long as posts comply with the rules it's fine. Otherwise those posts will instantly get removed and the account will be banned.

P.S.: Posts in the SFW section don't necessarily need to be memes, they can also be OC images, videos, updates or anything else you can imagine. If the community likes it you will get upvotes, if they don't u'll get downvotes.
