I got the most recent email about the Dwolla update as well. It sucks that Dwolla screwed everyone over like that. Very irresponsible.

I got an email from them last night saying they'd look into it. It seems whatever Dwolla did with their Grid system messed up MtGoxs automation and they're a bit overwhlemed with all the transfered that got held up. All my past transfers with them have been quick and the MtGox guys seem really ontop of it just overwhelmed. Give them a few days to get back to your emails, mine took 36hrs to get back to me and I haven't heard back from a reply I sent them, but my advice would be just to have abit of patitence with them. This seems like an analomy and I'm confident they'll get my transfer and all the others that are held up worked out soon =)

Just got this email back from the guys at MtGox. I don't know why some of you are having problems with emailing them, but I guess I'm just lucky.

Quote
Hello,

Dwolla made some changes to their system and we were not told in advance, hence the delays on your withdraw. We have marked your withdraw to be retried and it should go out sometime today.

Thank you for your patience.

Thanks

Well, if my funds havent shown up in the next week I'll file a joint suit. I think they're incorporated as an LLC in Delaware, right?

I have had early successes with Tradehill.com. Their volume is still low, but i think with all the Mt. Gox -> Dwolla problems, you'll see their volume spike shortly.

Other than #bitcoin-otc, is there any other reliable method to convert BTC to cash? I've just opened a BTC business and need to be able to convert this thing into dollars. thee's no way it could be that mtgox is the only usable exchanger

I have had multiple speedy transactions from mtgox.  Nothing to complain about.  Thanks tux.  Cheesy

recently as in within the last 2-3 days? My last transfer was about a week ago for about $20. That took 45 minutes. My most current transfer is taking over 2 days now.

Same here.  They were fast before,  now my latest transfer over 20 hours, has not gone through.

I just gave it a try in the other direction (MtGox -> Dwolla).  I'll let everyone know how long this takes.  Too bad there's no way to automate this yet, but I imagine it's less work for MagicalTux than ACH withdrawals.

I received my Dwolla payment approximately 12 hours after initiation on Mt Gox.  Satisfied customer.  Smiley

Unfortunately for me, I tried sending a small amount money (MtGox->Dwolla) last June 5th and until now it hasn't appeared on my Dwolla account.

I contacted Dwolla and they said they got not control over it. Contacted Mt. Gox and no response as of now.

This is my first time so I'm not sure if it really takes this long.

I'm getting kinda annoyed that it's impossible to get a hold of the people running Mt. Gox. I mean, come on! Bitcoin is trading at $23 today; I sold when it was $16.50 on Sunday. I still don't have my cash. I could have held on to that BTC, traded it OTC for $23, and probably have at least had a check in the mail by now... Sheesh.

I've sent myself 3 payments from MtGox > Dwolla. Got the first and last, but the 2nd payment is nowhere to be seen. I contacted MtGox about it, and it took about a day and half to get back to me. I'd just be patient for now because they probably saw about 5 times the amount of business that they see in a month in the past week.

That's bullcrap. They are positioning themselves as a business service, and it takes them so long to process payments? WTF. I was thinking of possibly using them for business.

Another question is: what are they doing there which takes them so long, getting IRS approval or something?

If you think about it, if they don't upgrade their capacity to meet demand to cover their expanding levels of business, processing time will take longer and longer in order to accommodate the ever increasing number of transactions.

Couldnt agree more. I don't mind a few days wait to transfer, but a status update page or an emailed response from the admins is all i ask. This is my first withdrawl from Mt. Gox > Dwolla.

Still waiting on my Mt. Gox>Dwolla from Sunday to go through. I would like it if they could, at the very least, reply to support emails. I have to imagine that they have enough money to hire someone to do tech support what with the volume they do...

I withdrew a large amount of money on Sunday, and it's yet to hit my Dwolla account. Is this unusual to take 48hrs?

I gave mt gox my Dwolla ID, but Mt Gox asked for Dwolla Account Number. Are these one and the same?

Thank you!

Anyone heard anything yet?  I'm guessing everything will be ok, but until my USD shows up in Dwolla I'm not going to transfer any more BTC into MtGox.

Seems the speed has slowed down a bit for btc -> dwolla.  I am at about 20 hours right now (although I just emailed support about an hour or so ago, so likely busy).

I've waited over 36 hours for my transfer from mtgox > dwolla... =[

I just gave it a try in the other direction (MtGox -> Dwolla).  I'll let everyone know how long this takes.  Too bad there's no way to automate this yet, but I imagine it's less work for MagicalTux than ACH withdrawals.

Thank you for posting your experience. I just transfered USD out of Mt Gox and I have been impatiently hitting refresh on Dwolla.... looks like I'll just have to wait longer.

About ten hours ago I sent money via Dwolla to MtGox's Dwolla account (812-649-1010 / Mutum Sigillum LLC) - the transfer was from funds in my account (had already deposited from bank) and in Dwolla apparently succeeded - however it still hasn't shown up in my MtGox account. I followed the instructions from the MtGox form exactly, made sure the "MTGOX#XXXX" was in the comment, etc.

How long should it take?

how long did it take to tx $ from bank to Dwolla?

I emailed support and they explained that they still have to manually import Dwolla transactions into MtGox since Dwolla only provides a CSV file for transactions. The money is in my MtGox account now, they should probably just put a note on the 'add funds' page to explain that it might take a few hours to do.

I try to do this as soon as I see the email from dwolla ("you got funds"), except I also take train, go on meetings, sleep, etc

Thanks for all your help MagicalTux.  I didn't really realize until now that it is mostly just you running everything, so I truly apologize for my past impatience and e-mailing you and stuff.  I thought there were a few guys at least-- and in my normal dealings with website businesses, the only way I ever get a response is to e-mail all the different departments and hope one of them ever gets back to me.  But from now on, I will be much more patient now that I realize how much you're doing.  Thank you for all your hard work, and once more, I'm sorry for bothering you so much!!!!

Don't worry, I'll be adding more people (especially to answer the constant flow of emails)

whens the cute young Japanese girl coming? Smiley

MagTux- in your opinion which is easier and quicker for you; i've been wiring funds to you, emailing you to send my btc to my addresses vs. Dwolla?
