Seems like a pretty good thread to me, posted on the correct section.  So, here goes my "Maybes":

- Were those images created by yourself? I mean, are those yours, or you took them from another website? Maybe that's the issue.
- Is there any suspicious link on your thread? If you see at the metadata from it, there is this message along with your images: (FORUM: disabled on this page for security.) Maybe the source of the images is not considered safe?

Maybe is just because the mods are humans and they make mistakes too.
Anyway, it is better to wait and see what the moderator has to say.

Maybe it is because you have posted it in the wrong category. It should be in the bitcoin category rather than meta.

It was in the bitcoin category. The thread in meta is the one asking why the post - that was in the bitcoin category - was deleted.

Thank you.

Maybe it is one of these reasons:
1. The same topic already existed.
2. Your thread becomes a spammy thread.

In reply, I'd comment that:
1. I haven't seen any other thread drawing a comparison between 2013 and 2017 or approaching the subject in the same manner.
2. There was no spam in the dozen or so replies to my post.
Thanks anyway.

There was some thought and effort that went into my thread opening post and subsequent post so it's not nice to find it deleted. There are other threads that start with an OP such as "why is bitcoin this price or that price?" with no real thought or effort going into those posts, yet those threads exist for months on end. Mine, where I set out to make some interesting and thought-out observations, got deleted within twenty-four hours. Some of the posts in reply were also interesting, so obviously as the thread has been deleted everything has gone.

If anyone knows what happened, I'm still keen to find out.

Thank you.

I am just wondering why my posts were removed?

There was a good intelligent discussion in the thread as well. For reference, this is what I posted:

Where, approximately, are we on this chart?

It appears that we may be somewhere along the segment marked "capitulation". What's other people's thoughts?

Bitcoin is roughly following a not dissimilar price movement:

Not sure what level "despair" would be, if indeed that's where we're heading. Any thoughts?

I have another chart that makes for an interesting comparison.

This is bitcoin during 2013-15 where a fairly similar behaviour occured. It's very similar to 2017-18, so far, and lends support to the reversion to the mean scenario.

In 2013 bitcoin increased by a multiple of 11 and then, over a relatively long drawn out period of over a year, reverted to a multiple of 2 compared to 2013. A similar behaviour for 2017-18 would give rise to a value of around $1,800 by the end of 2018 or beginning of 2019, with some volatilty in the intervening period.

But circumstances are different now to what they were in 2013-15, and they continue to change, so we may see something different emerging.

Other posters were engaged in the debate with interesting comments. The whole thread has been deleted. I'd be interested to know why, if anyone would know.
