N/B: these post no any actual link as I been get am from my community WhatsApp group and thought it wise to bring it to the forum make we all see why the well being of the common man no concern the senate but rather na national anthem be their problem and do you agree that their salaries should be reconsidered?

one thing i know about is that, our so called leaders don't care about the citizens which is we. You can see the amount going in to their wallets but they haven't even think of paying pension money (retirement plan), how much or how many days e go take them to pay off the retirement plan e no go take them one day. But see what the senators are earning yearly of which the individuals are crying out just for their salary to be increased, meanwhile someone is their receiving what 10000 people can earn in yearly. Okay take a look all the profits that's also coming from the companies we have in this our Nigeria, then the companies it's to contribute to so many things. But even work for the citizens to work no way to prevent more poverty to the society no way, waiting the leaders them dey do for there nothing. So for me whoever goes there he/she is just fighting for he/she stomachs not for the citizens anymore, they don't know what others are facing some people are crying for the minimum wage. Nothing in this Nigeria is working for me.

I like this little analysis wey you do on top this matter like this. Since you have no actual link to tag this up from a reliable source, the figures might not be as accurate as they should be. However, one can not take out the fact that what those legislators are taking as salary, allowances and wages especially as Senators and Federal House of Representatives are humungos payments that are made to them.

One thing I also want to bring to our notice on this matter. Why not the federal government should just work towards scraping one of the chambers at the national assembly to make the house slimmer and rechannel those funds to something more pressing. I know doing that will not only cause a lost of job to those 360 members representatives, but will also affect their aides as well as the workers in the national assembly.

But there are countries that currently practice a unicameral system of parliament instead of the bicameral system currently practiced in Nigeria. Since there are members state house of assembly that should be okay to consolidate the efforts of the members house of representatives while the senators remain. With that we will have more funds to be channeled to other recurrent and capital projects that needed urgent attention.

and you want us to believe that the white are the ones that enslaved us? The slavery we're currently going through under our own politicians is nothing different from what our past slave master mated on us. To know that this are the same people that complained of bad governance before they accupied those offices and now they are getting all this benefits while the poor masses are left on the street to suffer just to feed themselves and yet they will send tout to extort and tax the average man on the street.

This is part of the reasons why we can't deny that we are our major problem. Instead consistently borrowing money from external countries to sort out any minor problem we're facing, what's the problem if we go back to the drawing board and make adjustments to some of this unnecessary allowance? The are earning this much but are afraid to at least raise the minimum wage to 100k? Isn't that wickedness of the highest order? The lecturer and school teacher that are doing the real job are under paid with almost no allowance that comes with the job and you expect our educational sector to function well? Sometimes when I look at list like this i just wish they are not true but unfortunately this is the sad reality we've been living with for years now.

I think it will be wise to say shame on them right ?
Yes right.
These country no get anything positive to write home about atleast not under this very administration and e really Dey shameful say these same senators Dey pack these kind amount of money monthly and yet e Dey hard thrm to raise the minimum wage to something tangible and even looking at the whole matter, I think another set of people to blame na the people wey Dey in authorities for the Labour congress wey don already stop so low as to bargain from 400k proposed wage to 60k and even having the guts to suspend the strike is a big shame and show of hunger as these na one thing wey these senate Dey use against us and I think it’s safe to say, leaders for Nigeria are hungry and cursed.
