Does replying and posting are the same to increase my activity? I just notice that when I am replying to a post, it increases my activity number. Can someone confirm this?
Yes, posting and replying are both will be counted to your activity in every 14 days, you only need atleast 1 post per day to rank up your account, so there are no need to spam your post or reply.  Smiley

yes. when you reply to a post, you will increase your activity but there's a limit of activity if you are newbie. 14activity maximum for the first 2weeks.
Even you reply to a post more than 14 times, your activity will still be 14.

What is the difference between reply and post? Do they have the same amount of activity?

reply means to reply in a conversation or a topic , post means to post a new topic or a new thread. yes both of them can increase your activity.
They have same function, but reply it's like us replying your post and post can be like you post a thread. Got it ?
POST = topics made + topics replied.

In other words, when you start a topic or replied, both of them, in general, are called "post."

Exactly the same, because it both increases our activity. But I think posting is where we make our own thread for purpose and replying is where we replied on a post of another. Like what I did now, I can say it is a reply.

Does my activity increases every two weeks even if I don't log in my account or I have to log in every day for the system to recognize my entry?

If you don't make a post in an activity period you will get zero activity. Merely logging in every day will do nothing.

This happened to me when I was just a newbie.  I forgot to post even once in an activity period. I somehow forgot about it,  my activity didn't update.  Anyways,  it will be better to make a post everyday for the activity to increase as well as the post count.

Yes both posting and replying can increase your activity because replying is counted as a post. And I tought the difference between them is when you reply you answer the main question on the thread while when you are qouting/posting you have just adding or giving another idea to the person who answer the main question. But in terms of counting its the same.

Yes, both are reasons why activity increases. Welcome. I can see that you are interested in the increase of activity.
Well of course there is a difference between reply and post.  Reply is when you are going to share your opinion based on a specific topic or idea. While posting may be caused by informing others about recent events or ideas too wherein you are going to give your opinion and others may freely express their thoughts too.
Yet they both will increase your activity.

Post (in this forum) is the number of the topics that you created plus the reply(-ies) which can be represented as "Post = topics created + reply(replies). By the definition, topics that you created and the replies that you made are called Post.

Activity updates in hourly basis. On the other hand, activity "periods" happen every 2 weeks.

Just like engrshu said 'reply' is also counted in your activity, but keep in mind that you can only earn 14 activity every 2 weeks. So even if you reply to 50 topics, your activity will only increase by 14 after 2 weeks.

Yes, the reply is also counted as post. But I guess you already know that your no. of posts is not always equivalent to your activity. There is a certain calculation for the activity.
