On the other hand, the post about which I wrote above that this is necroposting was successfully deleted, as were a few more off-topic posts.
Perhaps we should unravel the strategy of the moderators. If we see an answer to a post that was created many years ago, it will be deleted, and if there is empty chatter about the same thing, it is considered a conversation.  Smiley

I have no doubt that in this topic there are at least 20 pages of posts that could be deleted by some of the criteria for which someone reports posts - but it's a lot of work for any of us and for moderators, locking a topic is much easier. That's what happened in the end, the topic is now locked.

Really i read the post and notice that the topic supposed to be move to serious discussion board or off topic, because the board it's,is not suit in it all ramifications, but reason i may likely said that while moderator left it there, maybe the response are cogent enough to be moved to another section, but from the views of the sub heading and body composition of the thread, it's not worth it to remain, let another person try to re-report it again.

Do you really think that topic should be moved somewhere? Topic belongs to Trading, but after 27 pages and almost three years it is nothing more than a spam megathread - no one can write something meaningful and something that has not already been written.

Also, regarding quoting. To quote a post three years ago implies necroposting.

you can do it but It will depend on you.  How much time you will spend for trading and how much knowledge you have gained about trading. You have to make  successful entry and sell your purchased tokens at the right price at the right time.

I think it must have been a moderator error. A thread created two years ago and with 27 pages on a question that should not be given much thought...

That's why I made this topic, to point out the mistakes that can happen to anyone and in the hope that one of the moderators will still lock this topic which really has no purpose and is an ideal place for all shitposters.

On the other hand, I reported a similar topic which was marked as good but strangely it wasn't closed.

I also noticed that some reports were marked as "good" but absolutely nothing happened, and if you report the same topic again it can very easily happen that the report will be marked as "bad" because it has already been handled as "good" even though nothing was changed.

I think it must have been a moderator error. A thread created two years ago and with 27 pages on a question that should not be given much thought: doubling your capital in two months is almost like winning the lottery (unless we are talking about derisory amounts), since we would be talking about a return of 600% per annum. Apart from the fact that the OP has not logged in for a year. Let's hope he hasn't been killed, as mentioned in the OP.

It is clear to me that it should be locked and if any moderator thinks that it should remain open I would appreciate knowing why, in case there is any reason that escapes us.

Was it moved?
-Dave
No!

I am constantly visiting this section, and the weird thing is that even though they know the post was created a year ago, most people who are in a long-term campaign continue to extend the topic on a daily basis. Most of them are unconcerned about whether or not the subject is still worthy of discussion as long as the thread appears on the first page -- which sucks!

Was it moved?
I feel like I have seen that more and more. Where I think a topic should be removed but it just gets put into another section. Usually Off-Topic.
So long as it's not sitting in some highly trafficked / highly visible section I guess it kind of takes care of the issue.

-Dave

IIRC, nope.

It was an old topic that got necroposted from time to time but the mod decided against taking any further action.

The moderators likely decided that the topic continues to be discussed. Although the OP itself has not been active for several months.
I also assume that if a topic consists of a question, then it must have some kind of lifespan. And this question has already been exhausted for today.

Sometimes it happens even I felt same when my report marked as bad even though its completely satisfy all the criteria, probably reporting again may turn things out. Mod who handled it can only clarify about what he thinks so let's wait and see if they comes up and give an answer. Smiley

But never stop reporting

It is human to make mistakes, but things like this really don't make sense. I reported this topic as a spam megathread (which it is by all criteria) and some mod thinks that after 27 pages this topic does not deserve to be locked? I don't know if it's a shame that someone thinks so, or that it is allowed that such a topic can survive for so long.

There is no point in reporting the same thread again, so if some mod agree with my opinion, please lock that topic - one less place for shitposters.
