Someone is bound to get careless though.

Unfortunately, there's no way to stop pump and dump groups. These scammers hidden often behind proxies on discord, it's pointless and a lack of resources for authorities to try to get them all, you get one, there are 10 new ones pumping and dumping.
What we need is increased education. Just don't be a dumbass investing in scams and you should be ok. The only thing I don't like is that they may corrupt the price of small, legit projects, but in the long term if a project is good it shouldn't matter that it had an ugly peak somewhere in the past.
