Sorry but I hear for the first time about the Reputation Board and for the Trust Board. I would like to discuss about those but first I must know those. Can anyone have the courtesy to show here in this thread where can be found these people or organs of forum? Which, I think, can be important, imagine me the duty that can derives from this kind of names. Thanks!

regards

Thanks a lot but I see only a sea of threads. I thought was a list of names with their characteristics and contributes for the forum. Needed days to read all the threads and to understand which of those are member of this board. No chance and no need to do this for me. I don't see the necesity. They don't serve to help (I imagine) if you have necessity and I don't understand which is their role in the forum.

But for the board of trust where can be found the list of them or the topic? Thanks again a lot.

And at the end can someone tell me what is the role of those boards in the forum. Can help for something?

Not everything that affects a user's reputation affects the forum.

Well put. I'ld go as far as saying that just about nothing that affects a user's reputation affects the forum.
The Reputation board preceeds the Trust system and it's served the purpose pretty well. Now that we have the Trust system, we can repurpose the board for discussion related to ratings and such.

I thought the reputation board is mainly for users to get feedback on their services/trades on the forum. Don't get if we can discuss the reputation of other members in that board, what's the point of discussing the same in Meta (that has been happening since so many months)?

Meta is for discussing things that affect the forum.

Not everything that affects a user's reputation affects the forum.

Should I report all those posts for being in the wrong section?
Yes.

Do you suggest me to move it to the Reputation board?
Yes.

I actually came across it for the first time today and thought it was a good place for those that have a need to establish themselves for business related ventures or clear their name with out messing meta up to much. Meta still seems to get a lot of off shoots of it but its a good place to control these issues and really only will be noticed by those that care or need to know.
So I think it works best the way it is set up or we would be reading 5 threads against Vod and 5 threads against Quickseller every day till the dust settles.
Would be nice to see a intervention to this issue as it is leaking all over the place and does no one any good. Maybe a what do they call it,a mediator is needed to squash the issue or finalize it.

Well i just created the thread regarding the QS drama going on the thread. Do you suggest me to move it to the Reputation board?
It'd be better if i can get a reply from a staff member Smiley

discussion about individual trust ratings and such should belong in Reputation.
And so I've seen that many users complaining some trust abuse in the Meta section. Should I report all those posts for being in the wrong section?

Even though it's not very active/people don't post there that often, it serves as a useful section and you can't really put those threads anywhere else. I'm not quite sure if the whole idea of reputation threads is needed, but for those who feel that they would like one, it's useful.

In my opinion, the board should either be archived and scrapped or relevant discussions should be moderated and moved there by staff.

This came up in a staff discussion recently. Discussion about the trust system belongs to Meta, discussion about individual trust ratings and such should belong in Reputation.

It can be useful for discussions such as the recent drama around Quickseller and Vod which would be spammy to take place over the trust system. However, a lot of these discussions tend to happen in the Meta board of the forum.

In my opinion, the board should either be archived and scrapped or relevant discussions should be moderated and moved there by staff.

I have seen that though the Reputation board out here for a long time, though there are very few posts there, probably just one to two, or even no posts within 1 day. What is the use of that board for now? We already have the trust system, which have almost exactly the same use as that board.
So, should we just archive that board, or just keep it as it is? Please vote.
