IIRC when individual posts are deleted the post ID changes. That's pretty much the reason it's not displaying post ID... because it becomes invalid.

In the report history the thread ID if a deleted post changes but the post ID doesn't, so it should be possible to show it in the modlog as well.

There might be some privacy considerations though if the deleted post contained a dox or something of that nature.

If a topic gets deleted, modlog still shows a link to a non-existent topic. Can the same feature be added for deleted posts?

When an entire topic is trashed IDs remain the same (more or less)

Yeah. I'd also like to see a link to the thread that the post was removed from included in the PM. Sometimes you have no idea or it's hard to find/work out where it was deleted from.

Once again, this reduces the feedback mechanisms for users, leaving them with EVEN LESS of a clue what they did wrong in order to modify their behavior to comply.

I would still also like the option for Staff to give a reason for deletion that's included in the PM. I think this will solve a lot of confusion and animosity between users against staff. There's an awful lot of people reporting their deleted post PM asking why it was removed or commanding that it wasn't off topic which is seemingly what most people assume it was for as they don't read the message properly.

I agree, this would be a very useful feature. It creates  a lot of confusion when a post does not contain a direct quote, there is no way to tell exactly which thread it came from. Whether it's my own post being deleted, or someone else's, I often miss a link in modlog to the msgID of the deleted post.
